Milo Yiannopoulous.
It's not often that I take the time to squint and commit a name with so many vowels to memory but if you want to build a functional ignore list, you just gotta do it. This is gonna go in the over-entitled and bitter subcategory.
Why is it women's fault that these guys make such unappealing mating prospects?

Okay, now I've calmed down a bit. I'm willing to admit that there are some ways in which we pathologize maleness. Maybe we should be discussing how we over-medicate and under-educate huge numbers of XY adolescents.
If the author had wanted to discuss that, I'd be game. But he doesn't seem that interested in the teenage and wrong side of the tracks crowd. He just seems outraged that a bunch of reasonably well off 20-something males are not getting the love (and tail) that they think they deserve.

I think as more and more women realize their potential, this will happen for them as well. I look at some women I know and just shake my head at who they're with.

I didn't stay single for so many years because no one asked me. I wasn't willing to "settle" and be miserable.

Ya know, when guys like this open their mouths, there's a moment when I wish that I could shove a pill down their throats that would amplify their interest in dick. Doing that would give my fellow XX-types a lot of relief and might teach these guys a bit of empathy. The only thing that stops me from developing this fantasy further is the thought of what misery this would inflict on my gay male friends. They haven't done anything to deserve these guys either.

I know I will get flamed for this, but I think feminism made things very very confusing, for women and men. And I think it will take awhile before the dust settles.

From the article: Shooby: I'm sure others have mentioned this to you in the past, but if you don't excerpt the article, relatively few posters click through on links. You're crippling your ability to get a discussion started.

Maybe there's confusion for some people, but I'm damn lucky to have been born after the first wave of feminism. My life isn't perfect, but it's pretty satisfying, and in general I can do what I want.
My 88 year old grandmother is clearly still bitter about the limitations society placed on her life. Every once in awhile she'll mention that she was born 50 years too early.

Well, for one thing, it's Breitbart, so ....
Then the opening focus is on "Rupert, a German video game enthusiast," complaining about women, so ...
Thinking over all of the male offspring (about 25 of them) of my friends and colleagues, most being in that age range, with the exception of one young man with crippling bipolar issues, all are successfully launched and, as far as I can tell from chats with their parents, appear to have no difficulty finding and keeping good jobs or maintaining romantic relationships. I've met all of them, and they all have good social skills and can carry on sensible conversations with an old coot such as myself and appear to be enjoying it (even the engineers and the one with a PhD in physics). Of course, while I'm sure they all probably play video games, none would likely chose "video game enthusiast" as the trait by which they would chose to be identified. So ...
I think the article says more about the author's agenda than that cohort of young men as a whole.

I think the article says more about the author's agenda than that cohort of young men as a whole. My experience is the polar opposite. Of my four good friends growing up, two are dedicated bachelors, one married and immediately divorced, and one moved to Asia because he considered North American women far too aggressive and demanding. Any way you slice it, birth rates for western nations are tanking, just like the mice in the experiment. The only mitigating factor is that immigration is high and immigrants aren't assimilating, hence socially dysfunctional attitudes don't affect them as much. It does, however, result in a huge demographic shift.

I disagree with the article. First of all, I personally know 2 men over 30 who "checked out". They walked away from their wives & kids (probably because their kids were in the charming teen years) , rented 1-bedroom apartments, & just didn't want to be bothered with real life. Basically, now they just go to work, come home to their apartments, & watch tv or play games.
Perhaps with all of the coddling some parents do for their kids, always giving them the biggest & best, never allowing them to experience real failure, is crippling them in adulthood. They can't handle stress or rejection, so, now they're rejecting women & society in general.

So.....a "gaming enthusiast" can't get laid, so he wants to whine and complain that women are at fault. Sounds like a real winner there.
"But, according to Paglia, when that women goes out into the real world without the safety net of college rape committees, she is left totally unprepared for the sometimes violent reality of male sexuality. "
The above really pissed me off. So, we are just supposed to go back to the "boys will be boys" and just accept that sometimes men will be violent sexually because it is part of their DNA? Since it is part of their DNA we shouldn't educate men and women about rape and that it is ok to say NO?
I don't know anything about the author or the website, but the guy makes me want to punch him in the throat. I can't stand arrogant assholes like this guy, that do not want to take responsibility for their own life and failures, they just want to blame feminist for it all.

If the guy in the picture is the one that can't get laid it isn't because he looks like a geeky gaming nerd. Damn.

One thing I WILL agree on, I do believe we over medicate boys in schools. There are SOME that truly need it, but as a mother to 2 boys, I have also experienced teachers that wanted to medicate them because they couldn't sit at a desk all day. I am an adult, I can't sit at a desk all day.

If there was ever a good example of someone wasting their time on their computer while in their mother's basement and staining the keyboard with Cheetos residue, it is the article author.
Turn off the compter, get out of the basement, wash the orange crumbs off your hands, and get some fresh air and socialize. There is life outside of the basement.

Devil's Advocate here. While I find about 95% of that article to be pretty ridiculous, I do find bits and pieces of it to be true as I see it. Let's remember back to the Cat Calling thread. There were some pretty smart and savvy women posting on that thread. Yet we couldn't agree as a group on what constitutes friendliness vs what constitutes creepiness. Could we maybe at least consider that if we can't agree, it might be just as difficult for men to know what to do and how to act?

Lets see - he lives in a - well, it might not be a , but it's a mess with crapola strewn all over the place. (Mom & Dad's basement)?
He's sitting on a box or trunk in his underwear, and hypnotized by the screen in front of him. And he blames women? Okay then.
