www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/a-%e2%80%98stupidity%e2%80%99-virus-has-been-discovered/ar-AA7uBAtStudy participants who had the virus performed around 10 percent worse on cognitive tests. Additionally, researchers noted the presence of the virus was correlated with lower attention spans and a “statistically significant decrease in … visual processing and visual motor speed.” Yea, I know the direction this thread could take, hell I even considered posting it in P&M myself . BUT, I find stuff like this totally fascinating. We are just beginning to understand how the flora and fauna that co-habit our bodies impact us. Heck, there is even research right now on using fecal transplants to cure certain types of gut infections.

The stupidity virus was bad enough (an if you posted that on P&M, their collective foil beanies would ignite simultaneously). But I can't get past the fecal transplant thing. And yeah, that was an incredibly bad pun.

Well, as far as I know, I don't have it. Is that because I'm so smart, or because I'm too stupid to know?!

So, how contagious is it? And, do I need to stay far away from someone who is exhibiting systems?

I see many victims of the virus in my everyday walk of life. "People of WalMart" come to mind at the top of my list - followed by people being sued or suing over ridiculous claims on "Judge Judy".
Probably the most shocking case of the stupidity virus was today on "Judge Judy". A woman had been attacked by a neighbor's loose pit-bull when she was trying to protect her tiny dog from the beast when it lunged.
She grabbed up her little pooch and held it first, close to her chest, then over her head while trying to get a way from the larger dog. The Pit circled her and lunged, first onto her back and then coming around and jumping to bite her face. Evidence pictures showed deep cuts and lacerations around her left eye, with swelling and bruises from the bite - bad enough it looked like she could have lost her eye.
The defendant viewed the pics and said they were a "few scratches" and the woman had dared to aggravate her dog by walking her dog past their house 2 doors down where the Pit lived. She tried to claim her dog was locked in the garage and managed to "somehow" slide the door open with its head. Yeah, right lady! You definitely have the stupidity virus.

And isn’t it amazing how much of the population has been infected. Even I come down with it intermittently, esp in Dd1’s opinion.

Correlation does not equal causation. Maybe the virus doesn't make you stupid - maybe you are stupid to catch this virus.

Who did Judge Judy rule in favor of? The pit bull owner I bet

Who did Judge Judy rule in favor of? The pit bull owner I bet Judge Judy awarded the woman who was bit as much as she could, $5000. I saw this, the woman with the pit bull was a freaking idiot and JJ let her know she was too.

Thanks, Mich - I just got here, and was going to say that Judge Judy fined the Pit-owner the the max.
