The Dems took their cues from opinion polls that showed Obama is unpopular right now.
Instead of having the guts to point out how far this country has come since the shambles it was in when Obama took over, Democrats tried to distance themselves and ended up looking weak and whiney - and ultimately losing.

You want him? You can have him. Just don't expect your country to survive without MAJOR "reconstruction" after you finally get him out of office.

Lol Later, and I agree. There are some flies in the ointment- the economic recovery is uneven, and a lot of blue color good jobs have not come back (and many of those won't) Many people are still living in economic uncertainty. On the other hand, many people are also lazy and/ or unrealistic. ( I just interviewed one of those five minutes ago!)
I think it was Happyhoix that had a good point in another thread that I will borrow- Democrats made a mistake this election cycle running away from Obama. They should have been lauding the successes. While it may not have staunched the losses of this cycle much, if at all, it is a narrative that needs to be told. Hello!
To "[laud] the successes" there actually have to have been some.

I guess the issue is whether you think these things are happening because of Obama or in spite of Obama. I personally think our economic recovery in comparison to the world is a result of poor policies in other countries and fairly good handling of the crisis by our current and past fed chief. JMO.
The economy is recovering. But it has been slow and very uneven. Wages haven't risen and housing hasn't fully recovered. These are things Americans feel.
Iraq was also getting to be a mess as the elections hit.

Why does Canada need him? I thought Canada was perfect in every way regardless of who is in charge.

I received this as email today ....... no other comments from me are needed. Especially the last comment.
Subject: TOP 10 REASONS TO VOTE DEMOCRAT 10. I vote Democrat because I love the fact that I can now marry whatever I want. I've decided to marry my German Shepherd.
9. I vote Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon at 15% isn't. 8. I vote Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would. 7. I vote Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it. 6. I vote Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves. I am also thankful that we have a 911 service that gets police to your home in order to identify your body after a home invasion. 5. I vote Democrat because I'm not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive and comfy. 4. I vote Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits, and we should take away Social Security from those who paid into it. 3. I vote Democrat because I believe that businesses should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democratic Party sees fit. 2. I vote Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters. …And, the #1 reason I vote Democrat is because I think it's better to pay $billions$ for oil to people who hate us, but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle, gopher, or fish here in America. We don't care about the beetles, gophers, or fish in those other countries. "The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits"… Albert Einstein ======================= I know you all will appreciate this definition. The best description of Obamacare so far: Remember when Nancy Pelosi said: “We have to pass it, to find out what's in it." A physician called into a radio show and said: "That's the definition of a stool sample."
OK, I changed it.

He wishes it was written by Letterman so it must be so. Kinda like he wishes it was an accurate portrayal of Democrats.

OK, so inviting flames, but can someone who considers themselves a democrat please show me where these are wrong?
Any of them? (except 10, which is obviously goofy)
Yes, they're worded to be inflammatory and simplified, but they basically seem to represent what I see as the end result of many liberal policies. They (Democrats) can't, because they (the list) aren't wrong... well... except the goofy one. and even that one isn't "wrong". The problem is... there's an equally horrendous "top ten" for the Republicans. Different 9 points (plus a goofy one)... but different doesn't mean better (or worse)... just different. Both parties just need to be scrapped.

We can't marry them legally yet but there is no real reason that a person in love with their dog shouldn't have the same "rights" as anyone else. Bestiality has been around since our oldest recorded biblical history so we know people are born with this inherent natural desire or gender or trait, or gene which means they should not have to control their behavior and it's not going to hurt anyone else so. Why not? We have become a despicable bunch. Just as some old recorded history said we would.

Maybe the man/woman and dog should attend pre-Cana counseling too just to make sure this is what the dog wants and agrees to raise their pup-child in the Catholic church.

Yes, they're worded to be inflammatory and simplified, but they basically seem to represent what I see as the end result of many liberal policies. They are all stupid- it would be easier if you could show one that is actually true. It isn't a simplification- it is outright falsehood- a strawman.
Would it help if I post the 'why I vote Republican' list for some perspective?
