Bud, Coors, Miller....not real beer. What EVT1 is brewing is most probably under the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reinheitsgebot standard. Of course I want some!
Seattle and environs is rife with real breweries. The state of Wa. has at least 146 now.

I understand lawnmower beers, but now it is cooling off and about time to make some proper stouts. that needs to be darker... Makes good christmas presents too- last time I printed up labels and everything.

Yep- it is like comparing a chef with fresh ingredients to a microwave dinner. As far as quality I can assure Virgil my beer is better than 90% of what is out there. And if I find some I really like I can just clone it- no shortage of recipes. I do agree not everyone buying these things are criminals- but I would not call it anything close to gunsmithing. Kind of funny you used the word clone in regards to beer. This is exactly what the gun maker is doing, although he is not worried about making a better gun either.
I imagine beer kills more people than guns do in the United States.

Come on man- beer doesn't kill people, people kill people Guns and beer- now there is a fun combination- works for our local politicians. This guy managed a trifecta: www.nashvillescene.com/pitw/archives/2011/10/12/guns-in-bars-sponsor-rep-curry-todd-caught-drunk-with-loaded-gun Rep. Curry Todd, the champion of Tennessee's guns-in-bars law, was jailed last night and charged with drunken driving and possession of a handgun while under the influence. Todd, R-Collierville, was stopped in his GMC Envoy at around 11:15 last night near Hillsboro Village. He was going 60 mph in a 40 mph zone and swerving in and out of his lane, police say. He failed a roadside sobriety test and refused to take a breathalyzer. Police say they detected a strong odor of alcohol on the legislator and found a loaded Smith & Wesson 38 Special in a holster in his car.

It's fun and subversive. No stupider than assembling model rockets or brewing one's own spirits. Have you ever made anything with your own two hands, or is it all just folly because you could undoubtedly find better quality in a store somewhere? i am thinking that it would be very hard to compete for quality OR price with US manufacturers. the idea of manufacturing something in my garage that could potentially blow up in my face is not the least bit attractive to me, but i suppose that there are people out there with a death wish i don't have. I could easily exceed the quality standard of a mass produced weapon. CNC mills have been capable of making easy stuff like gun parts and frames since the 1970's. This so called "Ghost gunner" is just a well thought out marketing effort. Machinists everywhere are laughing their asses off on the gullibility of the general public.

Machinists everywhere are laughing their asses off on the gullibility of the general public. agreed. it is a well thought out piece of junk in all likelihood- at WalMart mill. it is proximately stupid, to anyone who knows about this stuff.

Never said it would be with their equipment. I must of misread the price on their mill, $1,200 ? Really? I've bought tool holders for Index screw machines that cost triple that price 20 years ago. That thing must be a piece of crap aimed at the ignorant. Thanks for filling me in on "gun drills". I think I was visiting at Savage arms when I saw my first bore drilling in process. Thanks for the memory prod.

I was going to ask what this machine did that every other CNC machine can't, but guess it's been answered already. All you would need is the dimensions of the part to make one on any mill, right?
And why go to all the trouble, when Eric Holder will just give you a complete working one ? If it's a mill-able part and the mill is of a high enough quality to hold within the required combined tolerances. The answer is yes. Eric Holder has resigned, not soon enough.
