Try the dollar store or a resturaunt supply store if you have either in a reasonable commute.

Do a google search for your paper doilies - Amazon is sooooo twenty minutes ago. There are plenty of other cheaper places on line to buy stuff. Back in the beginning Amazon was a "safe" place to shop - it was a known quantity if you will in a see of mom and pop "unsecure" places to shop. It was hard to tell the legitimate sites from the fraudulent or just plain unsafe shops. That isn't necessarily so anymore. I stopped shopping Amazon exclusively long ago... and I started shopping Amazon back in '98 when every one was still afriad to shop on line.
Another place to find the paper doilies would a "Party Shop" or "Paper City" - there are stores that sell nothing but party stuff - (thing wedding shower, baby shower, graduations, communions, b-day,etc) plates, table clothes, plastic ware in every shade of the rainbow. Theme decorations, tchokes for gift bags, ballons, stem ware, baking pans, if you need it for a party you can buy it in a "Party Store".

I am a big fan of Amazon, but I do watch for shipping "overcharging" like that from individual vendors. If a place has unreasonable shipping charges, I don't shop there.
Big Lots also has doilies, by the way. And so does Walmart and KMart.

LOL.....
Earlier this week, I bought 2 pair of shoelaces on line (laces I couldn't find locally). The laces cost $5 and I'm paying $6 for shipping. However, it's still cheaper than the gas it'd cost for me to run all over town to look for something that isn't available.

The person selling the product makes their money on shipping and handling. We've had stuff ship from the Far East faster and cheaper than a lot of U.S. places.

Try here: www.countrykitchensa.com/catalog/product.aspx?productId=955It's a cake decorating store in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I used to own a retail store that sold cake decorating supplies and purchased from their warehouse ALL THE TIME. This pack of doilies is $2.65 and I would bet they'd be willing to put it in a bubble wrap envelope and ship it regular US Mail.

You're welcome. I don't know what type of business you are starting, but if it has anything to do with baking/cake decorating and you get your vendor's license and start buying in larger quantities - check out their warehouse option. You'd pay a lot less - but many times you'd have to buy 6 of something instead of 1.
