This one was certainly of the size to command attention! Fortunately, I've not read of any injuries, or deaths, but quite a bit of structural damage in some areas. I sure hope it stays that way!

there is a structure fire in Napa, over 10000 people without power.
after this thing woke us up, i saw some bright electrical arcs near where i live (about 2 miles away). we were totally unaffacted other than getting rattled by it.

i am fine, if you are wondering. my son slept through it.
Glad everyone is OK. We lived in the Los Angeles area when the one hit San Fran Valley in the early 70s. DH slept through that one but about 30 seconds before it hit, the cat dove under the bed.
Shake, rattle, roll. It was a weird feeling.

I had a family member once living in that area. A smaller quake hit and they saw no damage. Later they discovered that a water pipe had become dislodged at the house on the steep hill behind them, causing water to come down the hill and undermine my family member's house. It was a mess. Family member had to have a company come in and install expensive underpinnings to hold the house in place. I wonder who had to pay for that.

Shake, rattle, roll. It was a weird feeling. I remember that one, as well, sesfw. Knocked me right out of bed and onto the floor. The kids thought it was great! They were dancing around the bedroom. Scared me senseless and I had to round the little sillies up! Hubs slept through the whole thing!

Napa seems to have got the worst of it. power outages, building damage, water out, 70+ injuries.

No. DH's side of family and he never asks them any questions like that, thinking it's not his business. I would have been all over it.

The picture reminds me of the funny photo DS sent me about people rummaging through bottles/cans of coke to find the one with their name on it.
