I have a pretty good idea what it is - work sucks lately - since I was fine all weekend. I also was up and moving around earlier both Sat/Sun than I was this morning. grr....I hate being in limbo. I posted over on the WIRR board that my company is being bought. I just want it to be over and done with so I don't feel like I'm coming in to the office to do busywork.
*rant over*
it's still sad that I can barely keep my eyes open right now.

I've come home and been laid on the couch not moving at 6pm. Probably would have done myself a favor had I taken a shower and went to bed. Whatever is causing my breathing issues is sucking my energy out. I've been a little better but I'm seeing a relapse this week. I have to go DC Wednesday/Thursday and that's a 2 hour commute one way.

Hell, I can so relate to this. Surgery sucks every bit of stamina out of you and I'm still fighting this. Right now, I have to rest after I shower and dress. I know I'll have at least another month of this, from past experience.
We went out this weekend and ran a few errands. Nothing big and I sat in the car for half the errands. Even then, I was so wiped I couldn't see straight. TD went and picked up a pizza and after eating a couple pieces, I crawled onto the sofa and dozed.

2 hour commute? I hope you're staying over! a 2 hour commute for me is 2 states away, and I would absolutely be staying over! I probably would have face-planted on the couch myself if I didn't need to do laundry. I was so wiped out after last night's hockey game that I didn't shower before bed. there's no way I was getting back in that bed tonight without washing the sheets! it sounds like the dryer is done though...so I'm not long for the world tonight.

I'm going to bed once Chuck is over. I've been yawning all afternoon.

When I had a 4 day weekend for Presidents Day it was really nice Thursday and Friday. I was off Friday and hadn't done much except run to Target and get bloodwork done. I took some trash out around 5pm it wasn't dark and it was warm still. Went back to apt and got keys, walked around the apartment complex 2 times bc the first time was good. Got it in my head that I could do 30 day shred. Epic fail. I stopped and tried to start again a couple times, couldn't do it. After I practically crawled out of the shower and got some clothes on, I laid on the couch until I went to bed. Not one of my smarter moments. The lack of energy is almost always the worst part of a sinus infection for me. I can usually get enough ibuprofen and caffeine in me to combat the headache but nothing gives me energy. 2 hours is my commute from Baltimore to DC to my agency's headquarters. Fortunately I only have to go for training now and then. I guess technically it is a different state.

I thought I was coming down with something. I've been sluggish for 2 days, and yawning by noon. Seems I'm not the only one suffering from unexplained fatigue.

It is staying lighter a little longer but still it was pretty much dark when I got home at 6pm. I don't think that's helping me any besides being sick and the normal struggle with sleeping.

Psychologically, I think we just need spring. Summer is June, July and August. Fall is September, October and November. Winter is December, January and February. Dammit, Spring is supposed to be here tomorrow. It's hard to see with all the damned snow!!! I wanna go to sleep until the weather improves. Drastically!!

If you still have snow, I agree you need spring asap! The only snow still around here is where it has been plowed into huge piles. I'd like to hope spring and more daylight would help me but that also brings pollen. If I don't have this breathing issue under control any better and this spring is like last spring for me allergy wise, I'm afraid of what will happen. I desperately want nice warm temperatures but I don't need the pollen that goes with it.

Sorry you're still feeling bad, wvu. Is there something in you're new apartment that you've never lived with before? Some new allergen that you've never been exposed to? Ceiling tiles, plant life, unusual carpet, weird wallpaper? Last summer we took DS's notgirlfriend on vacation with us. It was the third time she'd been to Maine. The first time was fine. The next time was in the winter and she went skiing for a week. She came home with an oozing nasty rash that took months to heal. Then in the summer, she got an all over rash and started wheezing etc. The thing that all three trips had in common were pine trees. Only not only was she surrounded by them, we were burning logs on the fire and she was inhaling the smoke. She was also eating smores so she was eating that which she was allergic to. Once we figured out what it was, it was treatable.

ok, I rallied to the end of the episode (why, I dunno. I can't even tell you who killed the victim, 20 minutes later ) bed is made, dishwasher is running, and I'm heading to bed. don't cause too much trouble while I'm gone.

I haven't actually brought my houseplants to my new apt. I always forget to take boxes to bring them back in. Dad's killing the poor things so I should get them. There are pine trees in the complex including right outside my bedroom window. I know I'm allergic but I think I've lived around them before. I had a sinus infection in November and got over there. I was back to what qualifies as normal for me since I've moved to Maryland. The first morning I came back from Vegas I was so congested and had so much junk in my throat I was coughing so much I couldn't breathe normally. Been like that since then. I would guess there's something hear I am much more sensitive than I used to be. This is the first apartment I've had that didn't require carpet cleaning when you moved. My dad thinks the previous tenants had animals (they are allowed) and its down in the carpet. My best guess is there's something here that I was allergic to and when I came back from Vegas with allergies in overdrive because of the cigarette smoke, my body couldn't handle it anymore. I was allergic to most of the things they tested me for according to doctor. She sent me a copy of test results but they went to dads address. I'll check it out this weekend.

If you have carpet and there were animals, that's probably it. I have cats and no matter how well I clean, there's always cat hair, and I don't even have carpet, I have orientals. Spring might help. Maybe you'll be less allergic to the stuff outside than inside. Feel better. 'Night, all.

WVU, do you have an air purifier in your bedroom and/or a high-efficiency filter on your air return? They may help.

I have an air purifier in bedroom, I changed furnace filter to a better one. I'd say air return's probably painted to the damn wall like all the other vents I try to unscrew and clean. One of the bathroom ones is grouted down to the tile, I'm not kidding. The other bathroom one had dust caked inches thick so I pried it off even though it was painted to the wall. Still need filters for air vents and to finish vacuuming them out. I wanted to be able to open up the windows when I stir up that much dust but its snapped cold here again for the forseeable future.

You might want to look into having your ducts cleaned professionally. If your doctor will write a statement that it was a medical necessity, you can write it off on your taxes. At least, you used to be able to, I don't know tax codes now. When my parents had the house they live in now built in 1972, they added an electronic HEPA filter to the HVAC system. It was new technology then, and very expensive (over $2K when the whole house plus lot was $34K). My mother had a history of (at least) yearly pneumonia, to the point where our doctor said we should move out of the Sacramento area. He signed off for the IRS on the filter, and she has had pneumonia only once since we moved there.

PS - I get my weather info from the Weather Underground ( www.wunderground.com) because they pull from weather stations all over the place, not just the "official" NWS station for a particular city. They also include pollen data, you might want to see what it is for your area. Mine was 7 out of 12 today, my eyes are swollen half shut.

I had a coupon for duct cleaning and carpet cleaning for something insanely low like $55. I need to see what the catch is on the price, if they do apartments, if my landlord will allow it (but they sure as hell don't want to do it), and if they can do my apt since I am nowhere close to the parking spaces. All the carpet cleaning companies I've used before need to be able to park their vehicle fairly close to the door to the house. I'd like to just be able to have my doctor write a letter and break my lease. I'll see what goes on at the followup doctor appointment. On the other hand lesson learned to be a hell of a lot more picky about apartments. I didn't even have these kinds of problems in a college town. Then again the units were much newer.

Pollen's only .60 here right now. I think its something else that is getting me. I forgot to use my inhalers this weekend and I noticed some new symptoms so maybe that will help the doctor figure it out.

be careful with that duct cleaning coupon. I caught a Dateline a couple weeks ago on that very topic - they set up an elderly woman as the "customer" and hid cameras all over the place. they had the house surveyed prior to having one of the BS artists come in, so they knew what should be the expected result. the sleazy company tried to charge the woman hundreds of dollars on top of the original coupon price, and the survey company came back to show that nothing had actually been done. I forget what the professional association is, you can probably find it on the Dateline website, but you should make sure whatever company you use has been blessed by this association. hope you feel better soon.
