you know, those things you buy on the sly and scarf down and hope no one notices?
Right now, I want pork rinds. I bought a bag before my surgery and scarfed 'em down and thought that would be sufficient.
It's not........
I've also been known to do this with gummy bears, twizzlers and Dare sour fruit chews (which you can only get in Canada and I'm down to 2 bags).

Doritos, red velvet cupcakes, red velvet cheesecake, Ben & Jerrys red velvet. Pretty much anything that tastes good that you can feel hardening your arteries or going straight to your hips and ass as you eat it....you know the good stuff

Ben and Jerry's Phish Food. A dreamy concoction of chocolate ice cream with marshmallow swirls and little chocolate fishes in it.

I'm with wvugirl on the Doritos, I polished off the end of a bag tonight. I live alone....no one will really notice what I buy on any given night....unless it's the chick at the packy where I typically buy my lottery tickets. I play the same numbers each time, off the ticket from the prior drawing. from the look she gives me each time, she knows who I am. that said, I get a very unhealthy craving for hamburger helper "cheeseburger macaroni" probably twice a year. I make it with ground turkey, since I don't care for beef, but I can't imagine that's really any better.

You know I like marshmallows roasted, I make a fruit dip with marshmallow fluff, and I love homemade rice krispy treats but I can't seem to do marshmallow in ice cream. I think you picked the better flavor for availability though Swamp. I've only seen the red velvet at Giant so far. Oh yeah McDonalds french fries but they have to be hot. First time I bought a bag of Doritos since I moved here I scarfed down a bunch of them. Lets say they didn't go stale before I ate them all. The nacho cheese ones make my lips tingly. I'm probably allergic to something in them I have a bag in the cabinet now. I figure I'll feed them to my friend Wednesday night during the basketball game. I'm such a good hostess lol.

Haha on all the bad stuff we don't really need. I could eat that dip I make straight outta the jar. But cream cheese is a dairy serving right? Of course I could also eat the filling for pumpkin roll right out of the bowl too. No one was eating it at Christmas besides me so grandma gave it to me to bring home. I finished it easily. I should lay off the garbage right now while I can't do the hard cardio to make up for it.

Oh....I forgot about Tootsie rolls! When I go get a pedicure, they put me on a bench with a HUGE bowl of midgets within my reach.
By the time my toes are dry, I've got a pocket full of wrappers.

Tortilla chips. I can scarf those things down like nobody's business. Either with a few drops of hot sauce on each one, actual salsa, guacamole, smothered in melting cheese, all of the above... damn... now I'm going to be craving nachos all night. They're like pure empty carbs and salt. There's absolutely no nutritional value to em, but damn they're yummy.
I don't crave sweets often but when I do I like pretty much any sour candy, licorice (red or black), and Snickers.
Oh, and poor food. Well, the stuff I remember eating as a kid when we were poor anyway. Those cheap frozen pot pies, ramen noodles, hamburger helper sometimes, which is really weird because I didn't much care for the stuff as a kid, that kind of thing.

Ooo Cheetos, I can totally damage a bag of those. And I've been thinking about those stupid things since my friend asked me if I knew they made natural CheetosFruit dip-take a jar of marshmallow fluff, stir it up to create room in jar, a brick of cream cheese into it, stir up with mixer. Obviously you can only use one beater and it has to be hand held mixer. Or it could be done in another bowl but I'm not one for creating extra dishes. Or creating fancy presentations No extra bowls dirtied and when you are ready to put it away, screw the lid back on the jar, and put it in the fridge.

Lemme tell ya what's really, really, really good: open up a bag of potato chips (doesn't matter what kind, whatever is your fave) and shake some Louisiana hot sauce in it. Close the bag up again and shake the daylights out of it. Pig out. Obviously, you'll need something cold and wet to go along with the chips...whatever suits you. Margaritas. Cerveza. If you're alone when you finish the bag, it's okay to tear it open and lick the insides ;D
ETA: Another one...spread peanutbutter on potato chips. Quite tasty. You gotta be careful, though, and use really soft and creamy p'butter because the danged chips break.

I don't know if they have it for the Doritos. I know they do for the Cheetos bc I've seen them. That doesn't compute either. There is nothing natural about that color of orange and if they are natural they probably taste different. I know I'm eating garbage, I need to enjoy it in moderation, not have an adulterated natural version that doesn't taste the same.

haha, sorry. I did say I am half asleep.... natural Cheetos definitely doesn't compute either. I remember my sis finding a bag of Cheetos in her BF's room a few years back, he didn't remember having a bag in his room for a few months at least. he popped a Cheeto (sp?) into his mouth and it crunched like one from a newly opened bag. that ain't right - natural foods don't retain crunch like that for months.........

Damn you Swamp, I had forgotten about Phish Food.
Salt and vinegar potato chips. Other chips, I can take or leave them but Salt and Vinegar, I'm a pawn in their power.

Aren't cravings unhealthy by definition? I mean, come on, who actually craves celery sticks, or tofu?

I've never had pb on chips, but I love to put it on a tart apple (like granny smith). I'd have to say potato chips too, they're the only thing I really don't have much resistance against.

R2D2, you only say that about salt & vinegar chips because you've never tried 'em my way. Go ahead. Give 'em a chance.

Have you ever had dill pickle potato chips? They're even saltier and vinegarier than salt and vinegar potato chips. Soooooooooooooo yummy. ;D

Of course, after that build up, you probably won't be able to find them. I'd never even heard of them until I moved here, and it's mostly just a local company that makes them here. I don't know if any other company makes them, because when I am craving them, I only look for that brand--Old Dutch, if they're distributed nationally. If not, I'll mail you some.

R2D2, nononono! Don't measure by teaspoons or tablespoons because you'll get too much in one spot. Those little bottles of hot sauce have a teeny tiny little hole in the top, just give it a few good shakes, then close up the bag and shake, have a peek in the bag to see if it looks like it's distributed enough, maybe sample it, shake more in if you need to. It's kind of by-guess-and-by-golly until you figure out how much is just right for you
