The other night I was home alone and actually had control of the TV remote...so I decide to channel surf. Came across a Cops marathon and couldn't stop watching it. My GAWD!!! it was like a train wreck. We're constantly told not to judge, but I just couldn't help myself. When I'm watching the drugged up woman smash her own face into a cop car's window then scream they abused her I couldn't help but think - "No bitch, you did this to yourself and it's on tape!!!". Then there was this couple who admitted on camera that they got into a fight and stabbed each other!!! Then got mad when the cops arrested both of them because now, yanno, they were even. The just called 911 because they needed a ride to the hospital . After watching half of two shows I had to turn it off and vow never to watch that show again - it just reinforces my belief that some folks should not be allowed to breed.

I used to watch that a couple years ago - late at night if I was having trouble sleeping - boggles the mind that there's so many drunken, drugged up people walking the planet doing stupid. Trouble is, they also reproduce.

They also drive cars, and some of them vote. Which explains a lot.
As for judging, people like that invite judgment. It would be rude not to judge them.

The craziness on that show never ceases to amaze me! I don't watch it by choice; a lot of the guys at the gym turn it on in the late afternoon. I do have to say it is quite a distraction and makes cardio time go by much quicker!
It also makes me more appreciative of our law enforcement. The things those poor folks deal with daily...

I do the channel surf thing on the rare occasions when the remote falls into my hot little hands. And yes, I tend to watch some real brain-drainers: Shahs of Sunset (eye-candy brain drain if ever there was), My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding, Snapped, Fashion Police.
I know, I'm busted and doomed.

Late at night (and when you guys are boring over here ) I will watch Friends. After the two episodes are over and if I'm in another room the next thing I hear is Bad Boys, Bad Boys. Watcha gonna do? I RUN to change the channel or shut the TV off. Seeing how people act on that show can sometimes be hilarious but they usually freak me out. I don't want to be freaked out in the middle of the night when DH is out of town.

Fashion Police is one of my favorite ways to end the week! Good, quality Friday night viewing, right there. And I've accidentally caught enough episodes of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding (and clearly spend too much time here) because I can't help but think: 1. The lady who makes all those wedding / party dresses must make a fortune! Someone should move to her area and give her some competition and share the wealth. 2. As crazy as all those folks are, they appear to be hard working and earn their living. (I could be wrong about that, but it seems that way as it is portrayed on TV.)

What is it about trainwrecks that you just can't look away?
Several years ago, I was watching a Top Chef episode on Bravo. It was a rainy Sunday, I was cooking and not going anywhere so I just didn't change the channel when a Real Housewives of (I think) NY marathon came on. I watched one episode to see what it was about, and wound up watching for the next 7 hours. I just couldn't look away.
That's 7 hours of my life I'll never get back, and an education that I didn't expect to receive!

The women of "Real"(cough-cough) Housewives of (insert any city here) are the epitome of drama-queens, meltdowns, blow-ups, food-fights, overturned tables, hair pulling, weave yanking, and scream-fests.
They make me appreciate the dull mundane normalcy of my own life.

And although I don't think it's on anymore, Jerseylicious was another real brain cell burner. Sheesh, there was enough fake tanner, tits, nail tips and tresses to smother Newark.

And naked Was I supposed to be wearing clothes when watching Friends or posting here? Does it matter? I'm thinking when running to TV for "It's Raining Men". Maybe we should start a thread "what do you wear when you post on PB" - nah, that won't work, most people post from work so that would leave very few of us to tell the tale

I watched that show for a few seasons! like 3 / 4 seasons! then stop for a season or 2 and got lost because so much had happened! was thinking about watching the box set series of Jerseylicious which is probably something I shouldn't do?

DH and I have to be careful if Untold Stories of the ER appears on the guide or we see it flipping thru the channels. We will spend HOURS watching that show and have no clue how it happened.
I've also been sucked into Sex Sent me to the ER on TLC.
The other night Untold Stories was on one channel and Sex Sent me to the ER was on. My head almost exploded.

it's 3AM and there are ALOT of commercials - on different channels - of sexy girls wanting to get phone calls to chat for a little while! They say to call them and talking is better than typing on a keyboard because voice is so much more sexier! good point but that call is probably something I shouldn't do!

I always wonder how those sex chat lines still even exist, with the internet and stuff these days? if I wanted that type of action I'd rather pay a webcam girl I guess than just talk on the phone. You could talk to *and* see them instead of just being on the phone! Although I guess not everyone is lucky enough to have access to the limitless playground of the internet...

sex chat? is that what those commercials are selling? Here I'm thinking they were girls just looking to talk to someone / cause they couldn't sleep / late at night.
