I'm not stressing, but DIL keeps asking me and I just don't remember, isn't that terrible? Thank goodness she isn't pushing potty training, he will get it. He definitely can speak and plainly, chatters constantly so have no idea about that. He was playing with a 4 year old at the library and I couldn't understand anything that little guy was saying, she noticed that too. She is relaxing a lot more with him. And he is having a good time. We will take him from time to time and keep him as much as we can.
We have friends our age and they had their daughter way older. She had cervical cancer and other issues and never thought she could have kids. Well she got pregnant and carried a healthy little girl to term. They are all thrilled she is in her late 30's I think. They have invited us down for the kids to play together, another country bunch. They have a pony, livestock, etc should be great fun for them. We are going to the library play deal in town on Thursdays, so he will get some exposure.
This week is when we go see about his eyes. I also will get my ultrasound on Wednesday so will know if I have to get a heart cath. Lots going on this week and pain management on Friday.
Not taking the arthrotec has alleviated most of the chest pains or maybe just coincidence, who knows.

He sounds normal. Good at some things, not so good at others. Typical of most people. Don't let that potty training become an issue. He'll win. Agree. Mine did more talking at 2, but they were not exposed to any other languages. Maybe that has something to do with it? Or maybe mine were just exposed to a lot of people so they picked up more from all of them. They all learn at different speeds, so sounds pretty normal to me. I know kids who never did learn to put their dishes in the sink. He's way ahead of them and they are adults now lol. Mine weren't potty-trained till 3. I guess they were slow with that, but I never gave it much thought. I never compared them with anyone else. Your hubby seems to be enjoying his retirement now! I can't imagine why!

This is most likely what he is doing. He is or will be bilingual. Not a bad thing.

Survived Harvey in good shape as did our children; however my nephew was flooded but he has flood insurance; has already mucked out his home. We are blessed for sure. All have been busy doing disaster relief, providing donations, making lunches for those who are doing the heavy work. Lots of work to be done, lots of willing workers and helpers.

He went to Okinawa for the weekend with buds for some R & R. He was back yesterday, I asked him what little fat boy was doing over there, he said probably something else stupid. I worry about him, can't wait till he is out of there.

DIL helped hubby mow at his moms house, so he was home early. He took grandson outside, let him play, run around the lawn, went for a mower ride. Last night after his bath he was so tired she said he was asleep when his head hit the pillow. No playing with grandpa in bed till 10 or later last night. LOL!

Hubs took little guy for a haircut this morning. I bet that is a battle royal, DIL said last time it was awful.

President Trump came to town today. A friend and I went to the airport to see AF1 and POTUS. We parked in the airport lot and waited about 1.5 hours inside the terminal that had seating. Exciting. Outside, I got video of the plane and people deplaning. The people were very small from the distance we had to keep. We didn't know people could request passes to get onto the tarmac and at the refinery where he spoke. We would have had to make the request 2 months ago. A lot of people were on the route. The security cars have dark windows so people wouldn't be able to see him. We did get to see the full caravan of vehicles leave the airport. Security kept telling us they didn't know what route the cars would take. All in all, we had good spots. A fun adventure that doesn't come along too often. I missed Pres. Trump when he was here a couple years ago speaking at the Event center. Using the most interesting president in the world, being that close is as good a having tea and cookies.

You must have had a better time because you weren't trying to fly in and out of that airport.

Usual Wednesday at the VA yesterday, followed by choir practice and at dinner at one of our newer deli type restaurants.
Slept in till 7 AM this morning, what a delight! Going to the gun range this AM and meeting with they guy I work with on Wednesday. After that, taking my car to the dealer for a wash job and I need some help with a couple of the computer systems.
We have some beautiful weather right now, but my concerns are the family members and good friends that live in Florida. I hope they all took the option of getting the hell out of Dodge, but I fear none have made that decision.

Took little guy for eye exam, eyes are perfect. We discussed issues with the doc and she said no issue with him, but that if he continued the strange eye movements need to have him checked again. DIL was all concerned, well whats wrong, the doc said he is 2, that's what's wrong, they do all kinds of weird stuff. One day one thing, the next something else. She said his eyes are perfect, just nothing wrong, so that was good news.

We think little guy is doing pretty good. He can now say and identify numbers 1 through 9. I thought at first it was just rote, but he can identify numbers randomly and pick them out also and fit into a puzzle. Next we are starting on 10 through 20.
He sings the A, B, C song but needs more work. We have not started identifying and saying them very much yet But he is learning.
However, still does not say his name, he understands everything in English and Russian that you say but not talking. Just saying certain words.

He's only 2. Give him a break. No wonder he likes your husband, he's the only one not hounding him.

However, still does not say his name, he understands everything in English and Russian that you say but not talking. Just saying certain words. While DS1.most certainly did not understand Russian, and still doesn't, he too understood what was said in two languages but rarely talked. He just didn't see the need to do so. As my mom used to say "he is taking care not to wear out his tongue" and he stayed relatively quiet for a long time. Did that ever change when he discovered baseball statistics at age 8. The kid didn't shut up from the moment he woke up until he went to bed for the next 7-8 years! I am still traumatized Now he is a more or less normal adult --- or at least as normal as you can get with me as your mother Long story short: since everything else is just fine, don't worry countrygirl2 , your DGS will get there when he is ready. Just for your own sanity keep him away from sports statistics though.

Oh cut the crap, Zib. It's not Pat, specifically. That just happened to be the first comment I saw after you made the remark. You have been all kinds of snarky recently, all over the place. However, it seems to me that no matter what Pat says, you and several others will find fault with it.

Doesn't matter to me. I don't pay to much attention to it.
But thanks for the comments.
Right now I'm thinking of taking a nap, little guy is listening to Willies Place on TV, I and sent DIL for a massage, will do her good.
