Pretty impressive for the young lady!
(Don't worry Nancy - something more "Flori-Duh" worthy will be in the news really soon to balance this out).

Kudos to her, but now I feel like such a slacker. It took me 4 years to finish college. <sigh>

I wonder if it was on their main campus or their freaky honors college campus. I think that's interesting that the university has its own high school though. Wonder how well it works vs. traditional dual enrollment at community colleges that other students do. And whether it costs more - at my FL HS dual enrollment at CC was free. Only bummer is she misses out on the 4 college years. I could have graduated HS with an AA and my dad tried to talk me into it, but avoided it because I wanted 4 full years...with enough dual enrollment classes so I could get by with plenty of free time.

I went to my daughter's college graduation the other night. The youngest graduate was 16, I think. The oldest was 71. (The commencement program says the youngest class member was 21, but I'm sure they announced the youngest as being 16.)
I was WAY too social, to graduate from college at the same time as high school. -tee hee...

She started studying for her College degree at age 13. It's easy to see how she could earn the Bachelor's Degree sooner than her High School Diploma.
The link also states that the college courses for these gifted students are usually paid for by the parents, and probably cheaper than waiting until that student graduates HS and then has to pay regular College tuition.
As for her missing out on 4 College years, she can still go to College and take her Masters, or work on earning a second Degree.
