I see that the Obama Administration is reporting that Obamacare has met the adjusted enrollment target four days before their 3/31/14 deadline.
How is it that for months we have been told that the Administration does not have enrollment statistics to report? Even weeks and weeks after the end of a month? Yet, the minute that there is "positive" news to report, the information reported is almost up to the minute? Kind of makes the Administration look like a bunch of lying SOB's doesn't it?

Do you have a source you can cite? Everything I've read says they are far behind on actual (paying) enrollments, though there are more who have signed up (and not yet paid). Nevermind I found it: finance.yahoo.com/news/obamacare-enrolls-6-million-people-just-4-days-184500883.htmlHere's what I've been reading: www.bloombergview.com/articles/2014-03-26/a-key-obamacare-question-we-can-t-answer?cmpid=yhoo

It's just that some administrations seem to raise their dishonesty to the level of stupidly, blatently, obvious, rather than shading the truth. And people wonder why the public doesn't really trust politicians. Ever see one that was completely candid and honest?

"Adjusted enrollment"? Oh ok. They can't get the real numbers they want so let's adjust it down and claim success. Uh huh. Sure. Whatever.

The numbers will go way down when they adjust for people who don't pay their premiums. They are still hiding those numbers. Expected to be ~20%

You know what, I'm not sure what you mean by 'not yet paid', but highmark has cashed two months worth of my checks so far and assures me my coverage started 3/1, but I don't have cards yet and online it says they haven't received my first payment... So?
As I said, it's been a bitch and a half working to set up the actual insurance. I'm not going yo disagree with anyone on that point. Totally a convalutd process with too many snags in the system.

Sigh. I have to call highmark again today. I checked again after posting and it currently says I am enrolled in both my new and old policy... Still, progress... Of a sort.
