Are you more/less frugal on weekdays or weekends? Is one easier than the other? Is one more tempting than the other? What's the difference?

In the spring/summer/fall I am frugal no matter what day it is. In the winter though, the weekends are much more tempting. Cabin fever sets in, and when it is 0 degrees outside the mall beckons.

I am the same all around. If I am not consistent, I won't keep up with my savings and goals. I like seeing results, and I choose to do now what I'll be happy with both now and later on.

I am more tempted on weekdays to drop some of my frugal habits. When I come home from work very tired, it's sometimes hard to want to cook vs going out. Or, if I have to shop it's difficult to concentrate on the bargains.

That's a good question. Almost all of my shopping is planned around the sales and use of coupons, so it doesn't matter if it's during the week or weekend. Even eating out is planned for us. I guess my worst time is in the summer. During the winter I'm too darn cold to get out and spend money, but in the summer I'll notice more things that need fixed or replaced. I try to plan for everything but there's always something that crops up.

Weekends I'm more tempted to spend. M-F I pack lunch and off to work. I'm usually too tired afterwards to spend. Weekends tempt me due to boredom sometimes.

We spend more money on the weekends... because that's when we do concerts, musicals, sporting events. etc.

I'm pretty frugal all the way around, but since I leave the house at 5:15 am and get home around 6:15 pm I don't really have much time to spend money on weekdays even if I wanted to. So, for me it just falls on the weekend for most spending, although nothing right now is really frivolous.

Weekdays because the nearby cafes and coffee houses are so tempting....I try to brown bag most days but some days a group will get together to go out for lunch and I feel like I should socialize instead of eating at my desk. Also sometimes its nice to get out of the office and go somewhere else for lunch. Also there's a mall on the way home for work and it's very tempting to stop and browse for deals, even if I don't need anything.

I'm more likely to be frugal weekdays. On the weekend the stores are so packed I just want to get in & out (without really thinking thru my purchases). I make better decisions when I don't feel hurried.

I've decided I'm far less likely to be frugal when I'm WITH my wonderful DH, lol!

This is an interesting question. I'm more likely to agree to go out during the week if I am exhausted but the weekend is the regular errand time for me so it is very easy to let the purchases get away from me if I'm not careful. I just have to be on guard all the time!

During the week, my time is pretty regimented and there is little time to spend. I plan ahead to brown bag for lunch. During the weekend, there are many more temptations.

I'm more seasonal than anything. In the winter I absolutely hate cold weather so tend to hybernate. In spring, summer, fall I love being outdoors and love to putter in and around the house. That's when I tend to spend more.

I seem to spend less on the weekends. But I think that is because I take care of business during the week and the weekend is housework and relaxing (most of the time)

I prefer to shop on weekdays in the afternoon, so normally spend less over the weekends.

I do most of my spending on the weekend, because that is when I have the time to shop and socialize. During the week, I typically pack my lunch and rarely spend anything. That said, if I do have to run an errand or spend some money, I think I am less focused on weekdays and more likely to overspend because I am short on time.

I am more frugal on weekdays. Weekends include activities with the kids (and it's nearly impossible not to spend with them). There are weeks (M-TH) that I can get by with only $5 on me for the whole week.

I'm a weekend spender. Grocery shopping is usually on weekends - I have this bad habit of stopping at fast food places right after I go to the grocery store. Weekdays are usually not too bad.
Of course, last year when I was still spending money thoughtlessly, I spent nearly every day. (Not hard to do, when you go out to lunch every work day and then go shopping on the weekends).

My spending is more seasonal. I hate the winter and all things winter. I hibernate as much as possible. Now, when it's warm, I spend more on Fridays. I'm off on Fridays, thus it is my weekend and less traffic than on Saturdays.

I don't do much shopping except for groceries. But for real stores it's usually the weekend but I'm really a big catalog/online shopper and that is weekday. Right now I'm working to pay off 'necessities' I purchased to move into my current home so I'm trying very hard not to buy discretionary spending.
