Lots of stuff, now that I think about it. Sweaters from Ireland, Scotland and New Zealand that are over 30 years old. A hand mixer that's about the same age. My Mikasa dinnerware that's about 30 years old (set for twelve, complete). Several coats around the same age and two classic dresses which I rarely wear. Two meter-square floor pillows about 40 years old (I've recovered them). A clock my son made for me when he was in high school (he's now 52). I'm sure there's more, but I'm not counting furniture (which I expect to last). I'm also not counting my collection of Victorian soft goods, including my grandmother's wedding dress. I almost forgot my grandmother's "gravy spoon". She used it to make gravy, not to ladle it. It's flat on one side to enable scraping the goodies from the bottom of the iron skillet (which I also have). I've never seen another like it.

Mostly clothing. A lot of cashmere sweaters from the 1980s, camel hair winter coat (Brooks Brothers, 1983), a few items (classic black dress, yellow jumpsuit, good navy wool pants) from the 1980s that I hadn't been able to wear for about the last 10 years and then I lost weight. Free clothes! I'm sorry, but I can't imagine a yellow jumpsuit from the 1980's would be at all flattering. And I hope the navy pants aren't high waisted, pleated, and tapered.

I don't know if it's the outfit, my phone, or if you're actually 4 feet tall, but that's how you look in that picture.

You're a foot off. I'm 5'0'' even. And it's the outfit, my mom who is 5'5'' looked a lot "better" in it than I did. After she got done laughing at me I challenged her to put it on and tell my dad she was wearing it for date night. She said look on his face was priceless. I gave it to Gwen for dress up and have a picture of her in it too. Thinking of making a collage with the photos. Three generations one velvet pantsuit.

I have my parents end tables from when we were married. They gave them to me when I totally moved out in 1975. I have another end table my church at the time gave my roommate and myself to help us furnish our apartment in 1977. I have the dresser I bought for that first apartment in 1977 and it's in great shape.
I got rid of my 1994 Honda Civic in May of 2012 and it was running quite well.
I have Corning Ware and Corelle that dates way back and some pots and pans that old also.
Since I've acquired some of my parents things, I really have some old items.
I have my piggy bank form when I was a baby and the shoes that were bronzed, both baby shoes and shoes I learned to walk in. I love those. I have gifts I was given when I graduated high school and college.
I have my vinyl record collection dating back to my teenage years in the mid 60's.

I would totally wear that! <<spits drink on puter>> → With an extra wide belt and a large buckle, of course. Way to show Gwen that it's the person inside that counts. See? You really ARE a good mom! (true story. not even laughing about that) She really does look cute in it.

I have a few things from my great grandmother and great aunt that are very old. Great Grandma was born in 1870 her daughter was born when she was very young so before 1890. I use my great aunts candy thermometer every time I need one to make fudge, it is still in the box. She made us candy in the 50s with it so no idea how old it is. I got blue cornflower corning for Christmas 1967 still have it all. I just gave a niece the water glasses my grandmother gave me from 1962 Seattle World's fair. I have my pressure cooker and meat grinder I got in 1968. I have a few things I got in the 80s like my dressers, night stands and other solid oak furniture.

I have my Mom's old pink hand mixer. I asked her about it and she said her MIL gave it to her in 1958. DH has his great uncle's beaver skin mittens. They were used when he made house calls as a country doctor and traveled by horse drawn carriage. They are long, must have covered his entire forearm. I would love to see the pink hand mixer! Does it still work? Is the cord frayed? That's what I think of, when I think of old electric items... The frayed cords. But I sure do think they are cool! I have the dresser that my parents got from my dad's parents, when we were growing up. I've had a number of people offer to take it off my hands, for me. You know, to help me out. But I kept it. I didn't want to bother them. I love vintage stuff....

My Sharp microwave oven was bought in 1980. DH has fixed the door switch a couple of times. It still works great.
I'd like to have an over the stove replacement but those have to be installed just so or they cause heat problems on the bottom of the microwave.
My regular stove and oven are about that same age. I have an upright Sears freezer from 1974 or so.
Original carpet in the house from 1980. I don't know what the brand is but wow is it wearing nicely. Friends have told me it looks better than some carpets just a few years old. I feel blessed because replacing the carpet in this house will be a major expense.

I have t-shirts going back to the mid-70's
My album and 45 collection (at least the part that survived the flood of 2010)
End tables that my parents used and gave to me.
An end table that the church pastor gave to my roommate and I when we got a real apartment in 1977.
The dresser that I bought with my hard earned money in 1977.
I have some things from my grandmother like one of her aprons and pearl necklaces. My favorite relic I got after she died was my grandfather's ID for the WPA project where he worked (under FDR is what I'm told).
When my parents are gone, my mom has two bowls from her mother. My DS and I each get one.
My maternal grandmother hand-made me a beautiful quilt because I was named after her. I received it in 1959.
I have my great grandmother's quilt.
I cherish those quilts.

My rice cooker. My Mum gave it to me 20 years ago this week, or next. I just use it all the time. Rice is a food group in itself

I have a plum colored long wool dress coat that I bought in Jan. 1981. It's really warm and still looks nice.
My 2002 4runner that has 335k miles on it. I've had it for 13 years last month.
Jaeger short sleeve cashmere sweater that my Mom brought me home from London in 1970.
