That's the topic of my new column over at MSN Money. Whether you want to get a job, keep a job or create a job, there are legitimate ways to learn everything from HTML to a foreign language -- and most of it is free. Obviously you have to exercise caution. But some of the folks I interviewed made themselves employable or reinvented themselves in this way. Note: One of them is 76 years old. Thank you, Donna. This is really timely for me. I'm having a personal crisis about whether I need to stay at my fairly lucrative, definitely stable job It's making me crazy at times and is physically demanding and taking it's toll on my body. I keep thinking I need to do something else, but I don't know what it would be, and I would definitely need to tweak my skill set. This gives me options to explore with little or no financial outlay.

Malarky: I'm sorry to hear you're so stressed, but glad to hear you're thinking about ways around it vs. suffering silently until you had a heart attack. Keep us posted!
