All back in one piece. We got home about 11 last night after 3, butt numbing 800+ mile days on the road.
My brand new windshield has a nice big chip in it already, and the front end is going to have to be scrubbed down to get rid of the layer of dead bug guts.
Montana is a freaking HUGE state. Driving through Chicago/IL is highway robbery. Nearly $30 in tolls for utterly shitty roads, and pulling a small trailer added 100% to the tolls!
We picked up Gizzy this morning and he is sacked out on my lap getting attention.
My stuff is supposed to get here tomorrow.
Everything went according to plan. Packers and movers showed up on time, trailer was ready when requested. My mechanic was able to put a hitch on my car without issue.
Now just need to organize 6000 lbs of stuff. I hate unpacking almost as much as packing!

glad you (and your stuff) made it in one piece. Not only is Montana big, (I guess that's why they call it "Big Sky Country") it's a boring drive through - if you're not going through or stopping in any of the major cities along the way.

We stopped in Billings for the night, after our first stop in MN to unload the trailer and see my sister. We then stopped in Butte, Missoula and Coeur d'Alene to look for ammo. That ate up more time than we would have liked, but haven't been ale to buy any here for over 6 months, it is just not in the stores. Just unloaded our suitcases into the wash, still need to unload my car.

Couer d'Alene is one of my favorite places (that's in Idaho, though). We used to go there a lot - also Great Falls, MT. since they're not too far away from here for a long weekend. Haven't been back lately though - Couer d'Alene's really grown since I was last there. It used to just be a little place on the lake.

I see ammo at the sports stores in Terre Haute and I believe here at the Walmart in Sullivan. Would have to check but I believe so. Now where are you going to put 6000 pounds of stuff? We were able to find it in most of the stores we stopped at, but there were limits on purchases. Since both TD and I shoot 45 ACP at the range, finding TMJ 45 ACP was difficult. We were able to get 500 rounds of TMJ and another 1200 of FMJ. Each time we go out shooting, we probably go through about 100 rounds. As to where we are going to put 6000 lbs of stuff, I think that my bedroom furniture is going to go downstairs in the den until we get the spare room emptied. The LR and my clothes are going to get put into the empty (now that my hospital bed is gone) formal LR. The clothes I want to put in the MBR for summer will stay upstairs, winter clothes will go downstairs into one of the spare bedrooms. My washer and dryer, along with kitchen stuff is going to be put in the garage until we get rid of TD's washer and dryer as mine are newer (and bigger). Kitchen stuff I need to go through and see what we have duplicates of.
