this is the old national security -vs- first amendment argument.
you remember this one, right? i sure hope so, because it comes up pretty much every administration.
but this does appear to be fairly serious. even MSNBC is riding the Obama administration hard over it.
this is a thread for discussing this issue, it's modern origins in Watergate, and the future of imperial presidency.
