Unless you have a backup created before you made the change, I don't think there's a way to do that, steve. If you did backup your data, you could retrieve the previous document from your backup.

try this.
Right click on Start button. Select Explore. Go to the directory/subdirectory your file is in. When you find the file you want to restore, don't double click to open it, rather right click on it and go down to the bottom of the list that pops up and selct properties. Click on the far right tab wich will say Previous versions. If there is a previous version to restore it will show the date and time it was saved. There will be a radio button that says "Restore" just click on that button and hopefully it will do the trick for you.
You might want to copy the current version of the file to another file name before you resotre it. You can do that in explorer too.

You really should mention the OS you use when asking a computer system. It varies so much that you're more apt to get correct responses. Actually, since less people have an Apple computer I'd prob put it in the title.
