Okay - I never said gushing. I went back and re-read. I'm looking for the subtle signs. Help me out here. What am I missing? You usually see the person "light up" when the other comes in the room, they speak fondly of the other person, they pay attention to them when they talk, subtle touches. hey, I "light up" like that...when I hear the cork being pulled on my wine

I'm trying to think of things she has said about him. I can only think of things that are factual (He went to college at XYZ school) or things that relate to her (He is very nice to me. He would take a bullet for me.) I'm wondering if she just gets attention from him - a couple of texts and phone calls every day saying she is wonderful and smart and beautiful, and that is all she needs. I don't remember her ever saying that he is smart, or funny or enjoys the same kind of music or movies, or that he is talented or whatever. I don't know, what have I said about my husband? Do I ever say that he is great when it doesn't relate to me?

He's a great guy. Anyone would be lucky to have him. Although he does fart in bed. But, I've just always assume everyone does.

No - he knows I would return the favor on broccoli night. He is smart enough not to play that game.

Ever since I started low-carbing and couldn't have sweet wine...now sweet wine makes me want to gag...and not in a good way

I think they are all jealous because they are in an old boring marriage.

Rubbing each other's back while they are throwing up from the grain alcohol punch. That or holding my hair while I worshipped the porcelain throne. DH and I were like those obnoxious crazy in love couples. We were given 6 months at best. This year will be 26 years. I still show him the love by telling him to go fuck himself at least weekly now to keep the home fires hot.

When my friend first met his now wife, it was annoying. She's all he would talk about and was totally absorbed in her. I was really concerned that it would be the end of our friendship because she was his world and wanted to spend all his time with her.
What really bothered me was they met in October and were going to get married in like April or May (I forget). I tried to tell him politely that I thought he should wait longer. Thankfully it seems their parents had the same idea and the ended up getting married the following September.
Thankfully, now that some time has passed and they're married, he seems to have mellowed out and for the most part things continue as normal.
