I was walking at lunch and I noticed that the light had changed red. In LA we are pretty serious about not walking on red as opposed to our East Coast counterparts. I saw two ladies in heated conversation, obliviously walk across the street just narrowly getting missed by a car. Thirty seconds later a lady came walking along intently looking at her phone and ambled across. After I got across the street I saw a fellow riding his bike and looking at his phone. I can't believe how distracted people are, whether its something as simple as walking or driving. I'm amazed that we haven't seen a statistical jump in accidents with all these distracted people or maybe in the olden days these same people were futzing around with their Walk-Mans and their radios.

The shopping mall fountain got in this woman's way as she was texting. Damn, inconsiderate fountain.

Yeah, the lady who fell into the fountain was funny! (She was okay, I'm not a sadist. )
