DD is laying in her bed singing at the top of her lungs, even though she usually crashes almost immediately as soon as you put her to bed. DS has been up twice looking for snacks.

Getting up in the frigging dark again tomorrow morning is not all that appealing either

As I have no intention of planting or harvesting crops, I can't see the point in screwing up everyone's sleep cycle. We could just leave the ^&%# clocks alone. Monday this week is going to provide an extra level of suck.

My grampa always said "cows don't know what time it is". Besides, we have electricity now, and it's better to get outside work done in the morning before it gets hot. This just screws it all up.
Anyway, my dog doesn't quite understand it's time for her to go to bed, she still wants to play (I'm trying to just let her stay up, but she's already driving me nuts).

I worked today. The IT folks at this large company managed to move the system's clocks ahead by one hour, but they also screwed up and moved the date ahead by 12 days. Oy. None of today's transactions could be input correctly/automatically. And a big project was totally screwed for the day. I mean, come on, we change the clocks every 6 months -- it's not like today was Y2K. How can you confuse clocks and dates?

I overslept today, stupid daylight savings time, it doesn't really matter to farmers much as if they need more light they just get up earlier, I remember a lot of days during harvest starting about 5 am before light and ending around midnight

I have a 6 am phone call on Wednesday and have to present at a 7 am meeting on Friday. Really did not need the extra-hour-earlier shtick to make it that much more special

I am thinking I am the only person that loves Daylight Savings time. I am not a morning person so I don't care if the morning is dark. I like being able to have light longer at the end of the day. I always feel depressed when it gets dark too early in the evening. I have always been a Spring/Summer person though. Fall/Winter is just depressing and dark.

I LOVE daylight savings time. I always disliked coming out of my workplace at 5:30 and it was already dark. Dark on the ride home. And the kids could not play outside even for a few minutes when we got home. I wish kids did not have to wait on the school buses in the dark in the mornings but I don't think a kid needs to be boarding a bus at 6:30 AM anyway.

I'm ok with going to work in the dark. I start pretty early anyway. I hate though when I leave at 4:30pm and it is already getting dark.

And a coworker suggested that instead of moving the clocks forward at 2am on a Sat. night, we move them forward at 2pm on a Friday afternoon...

Daylight savings time always seemed pointless to me. You get the same number of hours of daylight no matter how you adjust the clock. It doesn't matter to me if the sun sets at 8:30 instead of 7:30.

Exactly! It's like a cynical/wise person once said: "only the US government thinks they can cut off an inch from the top of a blanket, sew it onto the bottom of the blanket and believe that they've created a longer blanket."

Does anyone else remember a made for TV movie or show from the 80's that had a kid who refused to give up his hour? Everyone warned him something bad would happen and he actually got loaded up in the back of a truck in the middle of the night (with a friend or two chasing the truck down the road?). Anyway, he ended up on a milk carton with other kids who wouldn't change the time.
No one seems to remember it, but I swear it was on when I was younger. Seemed like it was a movie, but could have been an episode of a Twilight Zone type show.

He likes to take seemingly innocuous things in life and make them horrifying. Like clowns. Or airplane flights. Or dead pets. Maybe even time changes...

I don't see why we can't just stay on one time or the other. I don't care which it is.
My body does not adjust well to the time change in either the fall or spring and this weekend has been no different.

I agree with TheOtherMe. Make our collective mind up. I can adust to either one, but I don't like having to do it twice a year. When I retire, I think I will refuse to do time changes. DH never knows what time it is, what day it is, almost not what month or year it is. Sounds like a plan, right? I should say, though, that he's from Phoenix. I don't think they do DST out there. He said they were too independent for the collective mind crap.
