I am doing the chocolate covered strawberries. First we will go to dinner in a nice little romantic trattoria. Then, we will come home and I will change into something a little more...uhm...comfortable. Then we will have dessert! I ordered a dozen and a half chocolate covered strawberries from a local store.

I also vote to do the chocolate covered strawberries. We love them with champagne. DH or I will get the ones that are hand dipped from Godiva Chocolates. They are expensive but they are massive and just delicious! Does he have a favorite restaurant that is extra special that he'd enjoy? We are going out to our favorite one. We don't normally do gifts but I guess since I ruined my perfectly good computer that I had - we'll just call this new one my present. Stupid cat!

That poor kitty being blamed for everything. POM your kitty was just doing a service for you. That old puter was crappy and kitty just knew what he/she had to do. So don't put the blame on kitty.

Sug - the old one I was using (Dell) recently was an old one from years ago that still works. I was only using it after my other one (Toshiba with the 17.3" screen) got drunk. It worked just fine before kitty got involved.

Pom kitty is NOT to blame, for puter's mess. Your puter had a drinking "issue", kitty just helped it along.

DH loves his fave homecooked meal better than any gift i could by him. Usually a nice juicy steak and all the fixins. But another idea is tickets to a favorite sporting event. We don't buy much in the way of stuff anymore so one year i got him NHL tickets and he was ecstatic.

He already has season tickets to the local roller coaster park chain. No concerts that we are interested in for awhile.
I like the helicopter but there's no way I'm letting him use those in our house. We live in a ranch with relatively low ceilings and I think it would freak out the cats. Can you use them outside?
This weekend we were supposed to go to an adult only event with a big group of friends, big dinner out, stay downtown and go for dim sum in Chinatown for brunch. We had the hotel room booked and last night our babysitter backed out.
sigh.
So I told him to go ahead and I'll stay home with DD. We'll make it a nice girls night together but DAMN!!! I was looking forward to some dim sum.
Happy Valentines day sweetheart!

Would your husband like a haircut with a little pampering? One year for an anniversary gift, my husband sent me to the shop of a hairdresser friend with instructions to give me anything I want.
That was really fun knowing that you were the only one in the shop for 2 hours and could try cuts, colors, tanning, massage or whatever your heart desires.
I went home with stripes where the tanning bed bulbs were! Fair skinned people should not get in tanning beds.

Carcassonne Board Game & a bottle of wine (or Perrier) It's an interesting board game that you will need to play a couple of times to get the rules down, but it's ideal for 2. Bottle of wine or sparkling water is just for fun and to make it an event. Add fancy snacks too to make a night of it.
Does he already have iPod or iPad? You could buy him a cool app or book that he might be wanting.

Rock It - He's I/T and would divorce me if I got him an I-anything. He already has an ASUS tablet so we're good there.
As far as dinner goes, I'll ask if he'd like to go out for something nice or cook a good meal in. I like that idea.

I'm making DH a heart shaped pizza and frying up some wings. It's his favorite meal.

WOW!!!
I'm truly terrified to ask what his colesterol levels are...
My DH would drop dead from a heart attack if I made him both of those for the same meal.

I have no clue what his cholesterol levels are. They were fine last time he had them checked but it's been a few years. I save this meal for special occasions. I dislike dragging out the deep fryer but we do have pizza more often because our DS loves helping me make it.
