As a gold member of Hilton Honors and a silver member of Marriott Rewards I'm used to being a customer service magnet.
My favorite Hilton's perk is free breakfast.
Last week I learned a new trick. The front desk was having a hard time honoring my request for connecting rooms. I paused and reviewed the name tag of the desk agent. It matched a customer service plaque on the wall. I congratuated the front desk worker and it paid off big time! I got my connecting rooms, three bags full of snacks and bottled water. Now I have a friend and boy did it pay off.
If you want great service try making a friend.
