Do any of you use this program and can explain it to me? I keep getting their emails and some of the offers are tempting but I rarely shop at Borders and have no "WOW" points. Can I still purchase? I find the "OO"'s appealing but have no idea how this works and their Help screens are no help. I think the acronyms are driving me nuts!

ahhh, I get these emails as well. Looking forward to someone explaining what these perks are about. I rarely buy new books retail any more, we have had a half price book store open. Many of their books are used but have new as well available discounted.

Borders is headed for bankruptcy so I would avoid any programs - since you will put $$ in but not get a return.
They havent paid their vendors in two months. This is business news I read last week I think. (I dont know if we can link, old MSN board would delete any post I put links in)
I cant answer your question directly but thought this was important to know.

I was going to mention the Borders bankruptcy issue, too ... glad someone beat me to it.
I'd proceed with caution with Borders gift cards, special programs.
I tend to buy most of my books used from thrift stores or Amazon.com and rarely seem to go into brick-and-mortar bookstores any more ... they're VERY tempting!

Thank you all for the info. I didn't realize they were struggling. Of course, I don't shop there either. I use HalfPrice Books and downloadables.
I was attracted by the half-price gift cards but couldnt figure out the how-to's. Think I'll just quit opening the emails!

They've been struggling for quite a while. I used to get two different coupons every week, but now I only get the Borders Rewards Perks emails.

Saw today that they're probably going to file for bankruptcy on Monday, which makes me sad. I LOVE Borders bookstores - not sure where I'll shop for books I give as gifts when they close as I'm not a huge fan of Barnes & Noble, and I don't mind Amazon, but I usually pick the books I give as gifts out after browsing through a bookstore and flipping through several books.
