I've heard that also that the competition is harder for vet school I've speculated that it was due to fewer job opportunities as vet compared to a physician.
It's because there are far fewer vet schools in the US. I think that the last time I looked at the numbers, there are only 9 schools. It may have changed though.

I don't particularly care for meatloaf so just don't make it or eat it.

Oh and as for the orginal question, I don't cook it with anything on top, and you can have whatever you want on it when it comes out, ketchup, BBQ sauce, steak sauce or nothing. Have you ever made a chocolate meat sauce.. like a glaze but you add coco powder at the end.. interest Aztec concept in cooking.

I'm tellin' ya. They are different by different cooks. Like anything else, some are good and some suck. Just like meatloaves.

Cocoa mixed in red wine( Merlot) with chilli pepper ( premixed).. i do like Habinero but only a little in the mix) some spices are added but most are only a garnish.. No sugar or Tomato!!! Great Sauce for the best Meat Loaf in the world(shameless self promotion).. never comes out twice the same.. Goes with a great glass of Merlot/Cab Blend like right bank Broudoux. Bi Metal Au Pt

OK I'll try again. What's your recipe? I see you didn't need me with all of these great tips and recipes but a promise is a promise. Twin Meat Loaves: 1 1/2 - 2 lbs. of ground chuck Fresh diced tomato or 1/4 cup of Rotels 1/2 cup of chopped onions 1/4 cup of chopped green and/or red bell peppers 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1/4 cup - 1/2 cup of Italian Bread Crumbs 1 - 2 eggs beaten (depending on amount of meat used) Parsley, Oregano, Salt, Pepper - to taste Ketsup and mustard (I don't measure but about 1/4 cup of ketsup and a little squirt or 2 of mustard is what I use) You can also use chili sauce instead of ketsup and/or tomato paste Garlic Powder Onion Powder Mix all of the above ingredients and make two separate meat loaves. Cook in oven on 350 degrees for approx. 45 minutes. I make slanted rivets (large finger width) on the tops of the loaves (about 3 or 4 in each loaf) to squeeze more ketsup on the top and bake it like that. It's pretty and adds a lot of flavor. I also sprinkle Italian seasonings over that. I've also poured Marinara sauce over the loaves and baked it that way along with some shredded mozzerella cheese the last 5 or 10 minutes until bubbly.

Oops! I forgot - either diced fresh tomatoes or some rotels (but not too much of rotels).

Well - that's what I thought too - that i have too many dry ingredients, but when it's mixed together it's very moist. When I cook it, it's also very moist - like there's too much liquid. 1 1/2 c bread crumbs are when I'm doing 2 lbs of meat (we have 6 in our family - we never have leftover meatloaf, even with 2lbs of meat ) Try adding milk. That should solve the problems for your recipe.

I haven't tried two loafs. I only have one pan - it's a meatloaf pan that has a raised rack to let the grease drain out. Maybe that's the problem? That could be.. I just use a glass casserole dish and don't drain the fat. When it's done cooking, I transfer it to a large serving plate and cover it with foil and let it rest a few minutes before slicing it. Sometimes when you type all I can think is "me too". Great minds. Yours is just cuter.

Dinner tonight was homemade stew with a loaf of fresh baked French bread (Albertsons). Fresh strawberries and whipped cream for dessert. Tomorrow night I'm making scallops with angel hair pasta and then Sunday I'm making little homemade pizzas. Unless I change my mind and crave something different. But I have the ingredients for those items already.

I prefer my meatloaf to contain only beef, not be shaped in a loaf, and come with cheese and a bun.

Are you implying PoM never says no? LOL! Maybe I read it wrong, but I don't think she "implied" it. She stated it emphatically. Did she sound jealous to you too?
