They got lost in Hurricane Sandy. That tall ship that sank off the coast of North Carolin was carrying all of the military votes for every soldier.

LOL, Archie! Yes, all the military votes came over on the HMS Bounty,.... Maybe the military will think about upgrading to more modern ships, like say the "USS Constitution"...

Yeah, it isn't true and was debunked. Sadly, there will always be a certain percentage of the population who would not recognize satire if it walked up ane peed on their shoe.

..when satire has access to our shoes, does it really only urinate? It does when we rudely fail to acknowledge its existence. It gets cranky.

Actually in some states where there's no early voting absentee ballots are not counted unless they would make a difference. Which often times they would not (ie absentee ballots would only be counted if there are more than the difference between the candidates). Which means that some military votes are not counted.

I believe Molly said her husband got his ballot one day before the election. No way to get it back in time.
I do think it is unfortunate that they have to vote absentee and most states don't count them. They are deployed serving our country and we can't figure out a way to make their vote count?

Unless you planned for their votes not to count.

IMO as long as we have the electoral college system, plenty of votes aren't going to be counted, because they don't matter.

I hate the EC. It's wrong to feel your vote doesn't count. If you need to keep it for some reason, then split the votes. If 60 per cent vote DEm and 40 per cent vote REP then split them 60/40. Everyone's vote should count.

If they plan on staying with EC, I've always felt there needs to be a restructuring of how many electoral votes each state gets. I'd like to see each state get 1 vote, and go from there.
