Good idea. Practice makes perfect and on Halloween you can impress all the neighbors with your new number! But you better put it on a t-shirt just in case they don't understand what you are saying.

I can't vouch for the study but do remember reading some darn place (likely a science or medical article) that people who drink tend to be a bit better at creative things like problem solving, inventions, etc. The "theory" is that they lose some of their inhibitions when drinking and are better able to "let go." <<We're not talking sloppy drunk here>>

So that explains it - I grew up in a neighborhood in Silicon Valley as Silicon Valley grew into and became Silicon Valley - the parents used to go "trick or drinking" while taking the kids trick or treating - our fathers were engineers, scientists, etc and our motheres were sahm's but were educated as nurses or teachers or just got their Mrs. lol Lots of kids playing Kick the Can or Sardines while parents played bridge, danced, talked, whatever. In retrospect, extremely strange, rather "Leave It To Beaver"-esque upbringing. It was kind of cool to have fun being smart and creative

"trick or drinking" Hmmmm, that should be "Drinking and tricking" That was our house 10 years ago. From 7-9 our friends would take their little ones through the flat streets in town and load them up on sugar. Since we live on a steep hill and the houses are too far apart for a good haul, we never had more than 2 or 3 trick or treaters. So after the big haul, mom and dad would drive over to our house, the kids would each get their own bag of fun-sized candy and Mom and Dad would "relax" with the adult liquid "treats". Everyone would be happy but I'm not sure it ever got too intellectual!

Supposedly after drinking beer in the heat for 5 days my stepmom's neighbors figured out what was wrong with their electric. Turns out they were right.

The "theory" is that they lose some of their inhibitions when drinking and are better able to "let go." Pretty sure this theory was tested and proven by frat boys many, many years ago.
