I am trying to cut my errands down and make one trip for all my errands. So far the longest I've gone is 6 days. What's the longest you've been able to go without shopping?

Just about a month. For the most part, I bust out most of my shopping on the first weekend of the month (so, I'll probably go this coming weekend for example.) I usually don't need to go again, although sometimes I do have to make one minor trip for milk...if only I had a cow.

Ahhh...farknarkels. I lied. Major shopping once a month, but depending on my fruit/veggie needs, sometimes once every other week.

Groceries? I need fresh produce and/or dairy every 3-4 days.

at all? a couple days. I refuse to eat frozen/thawed fish when I'm cooking at home, and I eat fish 2-3 times a week. between that and how varied the grocery prices are around me, I am at a different store every few days anyway.

I go once a week for groceries and once every month or so for a full blown errand run (same trip out as for groceries).

I've gone weeks before, we didn't eat any fresh fruit/veggies after a while though Now I can go about two weeks between trips to the grocery store and it might be months before I buy something that isn't food at times. Just being as "no spend" as I can to get this money set for the new house.

Lately, not very long at all. There was a time when I could go a couple of months without shopping other than groceries. Mind you, a lot of that was financially forced. For groceries at least once a week for perishables. For other things, if shopping only means actually buying, I could maybe go a month.

A huge chunk of my diet is fresh veggies, and I don't like to stock up on them. I'm at the store 2-3 times per week, every week (and then hit at least 1 different store on top of that.) But, fortunately, most of the stores I hit are within 3 miles of me (and sometimes I ride my bike!)

I knew there were benefits to being in this granny flat...I give DD/DSIL $$ every month to cover my share of food/utilities. DD does the grocery shopping, so how long can I go without shopping? Forever!
Seriously, every now and then, I'll go along with DD if she goes during the week and when I'm at home. It doesn't happen very often, though. Every three months or so I need to replenish vitamins and such and might pick up something I've been craving while I'm there or something that I forgot to put on DD's grocery list.

I could probably go a month, relying on frozen/dried/canned fruits and veggies after the fresh ones were used up. I don't want to, mind you, but I could.

I shop nearly every day. I always run out of something in groceries. It's either fruit, vegetables, or milk. My big shop is usually once every couple of weeks where I get meat and cheese.

I do my grocery shopping on Sundays. I pass several grocery stores between work and home, and usually mid week I have to stop for more milk, bread and fruit.
Other than that, I am not much of a shopper.

I am about to find out. Normally I do a full shop 1x/week and another quicky stop for veggies & fruit a few days later.
However, I am in metro Chicago. Right now we have 18+ inches of snow in 18 hours and this blizzard is supposed to go on another 6 hours. The drifting is so bad by all 3 of my doors that I cannot open them.
I figure it will be mid-March before I can get out again.

Goodness gracious, maryholly! All three doors?? I only grocery shop (with list) every two weeks. We do run out of milk and juice in the interim but DN #1 generally notices and picks it up on his way home for work. Otherwise I would have at least three trips to the grocery store between times. I go to a local farmer's market for produce which significantly reduces coming home with more than I expected to in the first place. Very rarely is there something I latch on to from there.

Addendum: I could probably go a month without shopping if I could do without milk or eggs but with the guys? Nah. . .

Well, I have a fairly well-stocked pantry, so if I *had* to and if we watched what we ate, we could go about 45 days -- but we would run out of perishable foods within a week or so.
I have teen boys. So, I try to make one grand round of grocery shopping hitting the sales and weekly loss leaders each week. I will also have DH hit the discount grocery near his office once per week for milk, bread, and bananas and anything else we need. But, truthfully, grocery shopping is NOT fun for me so I try to do it as little as possible.
As for other shopping (clothes, etc.), that is on a Need Only basis. I am not a mall addict, LOL. I guess I'm just not a shopper.

I was going to say about a week - because I go grocery shopping every week, but then I realized I usually stop somewhere in the middle of the week, to pick up something I forgot during that trip.
If you include my job in purchasing and my side business (buying and reselling junk - oops collectibles) then I'm always shopping.

I am also trying to cut back on my grocery shopping because I always go when we need one or two things and end up buying 20! So I am trying for one big trip a week, if needed, and stocking up on fruits/veggies/milk/eggs when they run out (but I am trying not to need to run out).
So far, we shopped on Saturday and I haven't gone yet this week. I am hoping not to go until next week when we need more veggies and fruit. Everything else is pretty well stocked.

Grocery shopping I've gone probably as long as 2 weeks in the past. Other shopping? I've probably gone 2-3 weeks at times.

If I thought about it before going I could probably get it to once a week. But sometimes running to the store to get milk is just the break I need.

We go grocery shopping every Saturday. It's very rare that I'll stop during the week. (Though I did stop last night to buy chocolate. We were stuck at home during the last snow w/o junk food. DH wasn't happy.) I haven't been to the mall in ages. I went in April 2010 to buy GS clothes and before that, was Dec. 2009 for Christmas shopping. The older I get, the less attraction the mall & crowds hold for me.

Grocery shopping I could probably make it 10 days. I eat a lot of fresh vegetables, cheeses so I wouldn't want to go much longer. I actually like grocery shopping
Other type of shopping I could last much longer. I hate all other shopping. I could probably last until I ran out of one of three things: toilet paper, contact solution or toothpaste.

I also go once a week, but with a toddler, I need to buy milk that often.
For other things, I go about once per month, but I really don't enjoy shopping. I add things to the list when I open the last package, so I don't usually run out of anything.

I have 2 freezers & a LARGE pantry! I can go at least a month without running to the store. DH, however, can't go without his bananas so he goes at least once a week...I have him pick up anything else we might need. I freeze milk & bread so there is a good supply nearly all the time.
