It's not really Your Money-related, so no.

I kind of expected to see something on YM off topic this morning. I actually enjoyed the debate last night.

The state of the economy, sure. The presidential debate? Not really. Does the debate have a direct economic impact?

LOL!!! Poor Big Bird. I was disappointed. It wasn't much of a debate and Obama seemed really tired. But Romney did much better than I expected he would. I'm hoping Obama was just trying feel him out and will go in for the kill at the next one. And I hope the next debate will actually be a debate! There is a thread on P&M if you want more political discussions about it.

Go to Fodors.com to their Lounge. You will find your 'fix' in there. I promise.

I think Obama was more focused on after the debate with his wife. I noticed his kids were not there and I'm guessing he and Michele went out to celebrate their milestone anniversary after the debate. I suppose we could always talk about the impending financial impact to Big Bird and Jim Lehrer's bottom line.

I think I liked it last night because I am such a harmonious person - I am the sucker who actually likes it when everyone can play nice

That's not what I said. But there are plenty of other boards here (Off Topic, P&M, Everything Else) that are appropriate for this topic. I don't think "Your Money" is that place.
(Am I the only person here who has been scolded by an admin for posting a thread that's not "money-related"?)

almost40 - That's exactly what DH & I said last night - that it was nice to see politicians play nice for once. I also loved when Romney joked that he bet Obama didn't ever think he'd be celebrating his wedding anniversary with him. ;D They were both respectful and funny and serious at the same time for the most part. But Romney was more organized IMO. He didn't really say how he'd do the things he claimed but his thoughts were clearer and he seemed more energetic - is the best way I know to describe it. Obama just seemed tired. I guess running a country and all takes a lot out of a guy.

I decided to improve my knowledge of kitchen things instead, so I watched 3 hours of In The Kitchen with David on QVC.
In the proper YM way, I didn't buy a thing.

Moderators - does this thread not belong here?
I am not looking for the "political analsys", rather the "personal feelings

Maybe he was suffering from slow TelePrompTer. It could be going around. ;D

I think just about 100% posted on all of these boards are personal feelings. Of those that post here I doubt that more than 5% didn't make up their minds about this election 5 or more years ago. My personal view is that I would much rather have political discussions on the other board where I won't see them. I used to hand out there & discuss stuff & realized that exchanging ideas was much like a lion trying to breed with a hummingbird......just not possible. But that's just me.

I post on P&M, not to change Anyone's opinion really... But because in my circle I am one of the only people with my view on politics, etc. I honestly lost at least one very important friendship in '04, because I felt I needed to say, point out my thoughts... It's much better for everyone involved if I just save it up and come say it on PM... Lol... Someone there is almost always off on the same topic.

Polls have been moving towards the center again. Not towards Romney that i've seen, but back to tie or tossup ... nationals closed a bit, but more importantly Ohio moved back from Obama Lean to Tossup... Obama is still up, but not out of tossup range. So some change in polls since the debate.
I don't think Obama 'throwing' it is correct. But i do think his plan was to play it safe, given that in the polls he was up to 269 electoral votes lean-strong... Why take a lot of risk when you are that far ahead ?? I do not think that will be his strategy going forward.
