I went to a congressional candidate meet and greet this weekend.
my observations:
1. People are idiots. 2. People want everything from the government and don't want to pay for it. 3. I'd stab someone if I were a congressman after listening to that.

That's why hookers and blow are so popular with politicians.

You mean it doesn't make sense to pave a 2 mile road for one person living at the end of it???

I got a chance to speak with my congressman this weekend as well. I asked him a few questions and the response seemed scarily tailored to be EXACTLY what I would want to hear. I mean he hit every point exactly as I'd hoped.
I'll have to now look up his record and verify. If he walks the walk, I'm in good hands.

For the first time ever, this year I actually got to meet my congressman. Although I could've given several small suggestions, I just gave an "atta boy", since I've been overall satisfied with their voting record. (I get the feeling they don't hear that very often....)
