"Imo's sticky cheese pizzas are garbage."
It is card board pizza.
"And Oklahoma Joes is probably the best BBQ ever."
Never heard of it but Pappy's is a MUST in Saint Louis! It is the best BBQ!

I'll have to clear that with Loop first, if she comes.

How far? Or more accurately, how long would it take me to get to say the Arch from there on a typical weekday evening?

It is 40+ miles from downtown (where the Arch is). Depending on what time you mean by weekday evening, you could run into traffic but I'd say at least about an hour with no traffic. Same for pretty much everything else that everybody listed. The closest places to Lake STL is Harrah's Casino and Ameristar Casino, probably 15-20 minutes or so... There could be other things to do around Lake STL but nothing that I know of.

That's not bad, and it sounds like I wouldn't be dealing with much traffic while sightseeing. At least compared to the gridlock around San Jose in the evenings.

"Union Station is a great train station converted to a mall."
Nope not anymore really... It is pretty much dead, most stores are closed, not worth your time for sure (I work right across from there).

That's not bad, and it sounds like I wouldn't be dealing with much traffic while sightseeing. I just saw that you said weekday evening (rush hour). That depends on traffic of which I'm not too familiar with in that area. The good news is that you'd be generally going the reverse of traffic. The times I quoted were for little or no traffic.

Thje good thing is once you make it to around downtown, most places to see/do are close by. If you will be here during the weekend at all, that would probably be a better time to do your sightseeing.

It would be mostly the reverse traffic unless there is a game, Cards, Blues,...

Dark, you should head over to the Ameristar and bet Jimmy's car loan money on black. With luck, he'll be able to buy two beat up Escalades.
