i thought she was just making stuff up to prove every crazy point she made. not sure why people want her back? just to laugh at her? that's kind mean. She was entertaining to me and brought variety to the board. She did make me chuckle but that is not necessarily why I would want her back. More just for her opposing perspective. I found her interesting...

I miss TT too. Some of her stories made me nod my head, some made me shake my head and in a weird way she kinda felt like family. She'd fit in with my famliy too...

WHAT??? The only reason you go to big family dinners like Thanksgiving is to watch the particularly crazy relatives do their thing. Otherwise it's a boring dinner with dry turkey, and listening to your mom nag you about something. Blech.

Does Doxie wanting to drag-race Swamp make her more or less crazy than TT?

I liked TT!! She reminded me of family too. In a good way. Everyone wants that older aunt who's been around the block a few times, & knows a few things....

It is her....she posted under that moniker on another board I'm on. Mich, can you try and persuade her to come back here? I didn't see her fatalism as a personality flaw or one-upmanship. She always struck me as someone who hasn't had the easiest road and used the stories of people worse off than her to try and keep her own challenges in perspective. It was a coping mechanism, kwim? Not the best method, but probably better than drinking heavily every night or going on a killing spree against your former landlord... She could probably use some support and kindness even if we are all creepy internet strangers because RL doesn't seem to be too kind on her. Guys, don't forget that TT is Irish. Story telling is part of our genes. As much a part of us as our blue eyes, red hair, and the lilt in our speech. So is the fatalistic bent. After all, if one can actually control their life, one has no excuse to drink.

I miss her, too. I don't know if she just got tired of the chihuahuas in heat following her around biting at her ankles or if she just got tired, period. I sure hope she is doing well.

I talk smack, but I wish I could see my family more often. Not that often, but maybe monthly.
