money.cnn.com/2012/09/12/pf/fdic-bank-accounts/index.html?iid=HP_RiverThe following posts on the CNN board remind of the poster whose name I can't remember, lived in NYC, always knew someone whose neighbor's relative's in-law had experienced whatever was being talked about. Usually something horrendous. "What is the fair share for a homeless person sleeping on a hot air grate?. Do you think the government should run over to the Lexington Avenue IRT and grab the cups out of their hands for their "cut?" Be thankful you have something, you envious git." "There are several ways this can be done. They can buy money orders from the post office, a local store or a bank. They can pay cash and get a receipt from a landlord. There are check cashing places that allow people to use cash to pay utility bills too. There is nothing new here. Irish bars were cashing workers paychecks in my pop's days and growing up, I remember people cashing paychecks at the local A&P or Genovese. It was a free service provided to bring in customers." Git? Pop's days? It's gotta be her!!!

This is the one reason I hate the snark here. We lose good posters who often have things to add and make the board have more variety...

It is her....she posted under that moniker on another board I'm on. Mich, can you try and persuade her to come back here? I didn't see her fatalism as a personality flaw or one-upmanship. She always struck me as someone who hasn't had the easiest road and used the stories of people worse off than her to try and keep her own challenges in perspective. It was a coping mechanism, kwim? Not the best method, but probably better than drinking heavily every night or going on a killing spree against your former landlord... She could probably use some support and kindness even if we are all creepy internet strangers because RL doesn't seem to be too kind on her.

"but probably better than drinking heavily every night" Says you I'm a SAHM. I can drink heavily every *day* so it doesn't interfere with my nights.

Mich, can you try and persuade her to come back here?
She left that board largely for the same reason she left this one.
She got called on her BS and rather than back down, she took her toys and went elsewhere.
When you click on her profile, her identification verifies it with the info she's posted here.

I miss TT too. Some of her stories made me nod my head, some made me shake my head and in a weird way she kinda felt like family.
