Pretty much every day of my life has a funny joke in it.
On Xmas eve I got caught in the snow at my drive way. The tow truck pulls me out I then backed out 10 feet and hit the tow truck. Police are called and I get a 125$ ticket for 'speeding '-which he presented to me 0020 Xmas morning!!!

Isn't it the fault of the beholder? There I am, just being myself, and I am often amazed at how people react, even more so by what they report later "did you hear" "did you see" "do you know" always colored by their own agendas, and reacting to looks, expression, language, age, position, sex, color, .... Rarely, refreshingly, once in awhile you come across someone who "hears" the thought that was expressed.
The way you are beheld can be a blessing or a curse but rarely is it just what it was.

I think when I was 25. By that point I was married and wasn't able to think clearly for myself anymore (just ask my wife).

When did you finally stop taking yourself so seriously? When I said "I do" to a man with 3 kids (4 total w/my one), dealing with his ex wife, dealing with my ex-h, agreeing to having 2 dogs, a run-down house (that needs work) and working full time. If I took myself and everyone/thing around me seriously, I'd be in the psych ward before clicking "Post Reply".

Adrian - just click on the Select Smilies in the box to your right for the quick reply and the box on your left for the regular reply. There are lots of choices there to click on.

Befferz, LMAO!! The site for that one is down, per Virgil. But I'm blaming The J for it missing.

When did you finally stop taking yourself so seriously? Somewhere around the age of 32 to 34 years old.
I went skiing last week. The first time in years. And, I really couldn't see the point anymore!
I've never been skiing but from what I understand the point of it is to miss trees (& bushes & big rocks).
(Oh & to put emergency room workers kids thru college).
