I love my neighborhood watering hole! Everyone knows me there, and vice versa. Beer is cheap at $1.50 per can or bottle, any kind (granted, slim offerings, but that's even OK with this beer snob, I can have the fancy ones at home fairly cheap). Nothing on tap, 'tis OK because I don't care for draft beer. Limited selection of mixed drinks, but also cheap at $2.00 a drink. No wine. It's not that kind of place. Tonight is the rare occasion of live music. Two of the regulars donate their services a few times a year, one at acoustic guitar and the other singing - and they're actually pretty decent (not to mention pretty easy on the eyes!). If we're lucky, their friend will be allowed out to play tonight and join in on harmonica. No food is sold, but sometimes people bring in pot-luck type fare. Yes, my Cheers is a dive, but I still luuuuuvvvveee it! Have a good night everyone!

Sounds like a nice place.
I was never a huge fan of the bar scene but a place like that sounds like a nice place to walk in and know the people there. I liked the stories of the pubs in James Herriot's books "Ow then Mr. Herriot, will you be having a pint?"
