This was years ago. I was on vacation in New Orleans and was walking around the French Quarter with friends when a complete stranger stopped me to ask if I was Margaret Cho. I politely told him no. I wanted to drop kick him to the ground because he insisted I was and followed me down the street. He wasn't even drunk. My friends were laughing their butts off. And no I do not look like her.

grrr, back in my college days (late 80's) I was frequently told I looked like Molly Ringwald. Never did see it myself, except the auburn(ish) hair, pale skin, similar build and sprinkling of freckles. A friend is a dead ringer for Helen Hunt.

I don't, but a lot of people thought my ex-husband kind of looked like Adam Sandler (when Sandler is really cute). Lots of people think my dad looks like the Quaker Oats guy and little kids think he's Santa Claus.

When I was around 18-21ish people would tell me all the time that I looked like Jewel. I worked at Wal-mart jewelry country and even strangers would come up and tell me I looked like her. I didn't say it, but I took it as a compliment because I think she is pretty.

When I was little I looked like Buffy from Family Affair. I liked her, but I thought Mrs. Beasley was one butt ugly doll.

when I was a kid, people said I could pass for the girl that played Laura Ingalls -sorry, but her name is absolutely escaping me right now. lately, especially when I wear my hair up, people ask me if I can see Russia from my house. at least it's been easy to come up with a Halloween costume the past couple years....

I don't, but back in the early 70s my father looked a lot like Clint Eastwood.
My best friend used to have people asking him all the time if he was John Candy. He worked security at local small club concerts. One night, as the MC was introducing the band, he jokingly announced that security tonight is being provided by Dave Candy, John Candy's younger brother. Nobody doubted him, and for years afterwords it was a local Urban Myth that John Candy's brother worked club security here.

While stranded in France last April another fellow American thought I looked like Jodie Foster. Weirdly I got the same thing a few weeks ago from a waitress at a local restaurant. Damn, I just wish I had her money!

I'm pretty sure I don't look like anyone famous, although I have had a few random people swear I looked like "someone" they knew from somewhere. They never could figure out how they knew me, and I was pretty sure I'd never seen them before in my life.

During the Brat-pack 80's, people said Demi Moore. When I was really young they thought I would grow up to look like Debra Wenger.
I think it was pretty general - I have dark hair and a gravely voice. Other than that - I'm not winning any look-a-like contests.

I've gotten Natalie Portman, and the girl who played the daughter on Gilmore Girls. Natalie Portman's closer than the other girl, but I'm not a dopelganger for her or anything.
