So I'm gonna get a credit card. It's a 15.99% whatever. Interest! That's it. Limit is I believe $15k.
So we are getting a new kitchen!!!!!
And no way to pay it in full..........
Isn't this a great idea?!?

Isn't this a great idea?!? No, 15.99% is too low. It's your patriotic duty to support the economic recovery by finding a card with higher interest rate.

Isn't this a great idea?!? Going with granite and stainless steel, right? And the longer cabinets? And recessed lighting? What are you going to get for the flooring? Oh, and you'll need new dishware and cookware to match the new color scheme. Are you sure $15K will be enough for all that? I'm sure they'll raise your limit if you will go with a 22.9% rate.

Hmmm, I never thought about new dishes and pots and pans!!! I don't guess those Goodwill and yard sales finds will do in the new kitchen. Yes I will have to shop for more! As for the floor...I saw a clue picture today. And if I knew how to post the pic I would. It was nothing but pennies! Tons of pennies laid out for the floor. Looked really awesome too! And we would never be really broke with all those pennies on the floor. I have no clue what an actual full gut and remodel of a kitchen would cost. But I'm so dang bored that I wanted to start a thread. Sigh. Don't guess my "issues" can get 50 pages. Does that make me normal?!

The pennies idea does give me an idea for the backsplash in our kitchen... FWIW, our kitchen cabinets are an darker ivory color while our countertops are like this:

YES!!! That's it!
And that has got to be an awesome looking kitchen! I totally LOVE for rooms to NOT look like every other kitchen.
But the penny floor. I wonder how much money goes into that?!? LOL Ok, it was kinda funny.

That floor is AWESOME!!! I wish I knew about it when I was putting in our bathroom floor..... I know what to suggest to my cousin now for her kitchen floor! (it's currently just concret slab because they can't agree on tile - on a slightly OT/funny comment - they did chalk outlines of her husband and dog on the floor - It's funny to see people's faces who have never seen the outlines before).

I'll send you the credit card offer DD just got in the mail. (She's off to college in the fall.) 0% the first year, then it jump up to 29.99%. No I'm not kidding, but at least she's smart enough NOT to take the bait. ;D

Definitely need 29.99%.
But you need to use dimes for your floor - costs 10X more, they are smaller so you will need more, and the silver color will better coordinate with the stainless steel appliances.
ETA - And you must do the dime floor by a cash advance from the 29.99% CC!

Yes 29.99% with dimes. We drew outlines of everyone who lives here before we put in the living room floor. I figure if anyone ever replaces the floor will probably be freaked out. And it's a floating wood floor so it will be an easy thing to do. If I had had the extra money to blow I would have gotten some red paint and made some blood stains too.

Lowes has some ceiling/backsplash stuff in the penny color and some others. It looked pretty cool. No idea what the stuff is called.
