I got home at lunch today and there was a roll of toilet paper unravelled throughout my entranceway, kitchen and living room!!! Charlie had knocked the new roll off of the holder and then ran it all over the house!!!! That's a cat trick!!! Dogs chew stuff!!!!

When she was a puppy, my dog took the toilet tissue in her mouth and pranced proudly down the stairs pulling it down with her. We had to put a shake can (a pop can with coins taped inside - makes a very loud noise when dropped) on the toilet tissue to make her stop.

heh heh heh .... unraveled and shredded toilet paper is an all-too-common occurrence in MollymouserLand.

Every dog I've had has used this as a way to punish us for leaving them alone. I thought it was a small dog trick!

Molly: I love I can has cheezburger!
Thank goodness that isn't a trick that my kitty ever learned. However, I do have to hide the toilet paper from my toddler - she does the same thing!

What is it with dogs and toilet paper!?? Not only does my dog love to unravel toilet paper, but she loves to EAT it too! Toilet paper, cotton balls, napkins, kleenex.. she loves it all. Does that make her a paper-o-holic?

My DD's one cat hates paper towels and t-paper. The t-paper is hidden in a mutli-roll holder from the shredder, but he's not a paper eater. I think it's a hoot.

I'm going to regret typing this because I know it will jinx me, but in all the years I've had cats - none have done that. And only one learned how to unroll it while on the TP holder. She would just sit there unrolling it watching it pile on the floor. LOL!

We had a sheltie collie that would shred kleenix and napkins, especially if she was mad that you had left her.
I also had one cat like POM's that would unroll the toilet paper and let it pile on the floor. Putting the toilet paper on the roll so it rolled from the bottom and not the top put an end to that trick.

Dogs do do this. Our lab did this and lots of other things both as a puppy and a young adult dog.

Dogs are worse than cats!
About 8 years ago we had 3(yes three) Jack Russel's. Oh they were our babies and we loved them to pieces!
In one weekend they: 1. Turned on the radio and was jammin to Dixie Chicks when we came home late one night. It was VERY loud. 2. Ate through my bottle of allergy medicine over night...freaked out. Called vet...told me I was lucky...they would just sleep the day away. 3. Very next night ate whatever they could pick up and "carry" into the living room. Papers, tp, looked like some kind of wood from something...never could figure out what. Their dog food that was in a tote in the bathroom. My living room was a mess.
That was just one weekend. I miss those guys. lol

I have one that loves dental floss - mint flavored. And I have one that loves Q-tips and ear plugs. Mattie will bat them off my nightstand from our bed and Sophie will be on the ground waiting for them to hit the floor and they both play with them. They have quite the system. LOL!

So far Charlie is too small to reach anything that is up, like chairs and coffee tables. But I see her practising her high jumping

I had one cat that liked tampons. It was when I lived in a studio apartment in Boston and the tampons were kept in the bathroom closet, along with the litter box. The cat would pull a couple tampons out of the box and bat them around on the floor. So when I had people over, I had to open the door and do a quick scan to see if the toys were out.
Never had a cat destroy a roll of toilet paper though......

Our dog killed a mouse this week. I always thought that was a cat thing.

One time my husband claimed that our dog chewed up some postage stamps and a $20 bill that he left on the coffee table. There were some partial postage stamps around, but no sign of the $20. DH said the dog ate the whole bill. Later that week while doing laundry, I found a $20 in the dryer, said "look what I found!" DH claims it is his, and I tell him, no the dog ate your $20!
We now have a lab and 2 beagles. The lab can open the gates in the back yard and we have to lock them. Sometimes they get left unlocked. The lab used to get out and run around the neighborhood. Now that she is older, she just opens the gate and the beagles get out. I think this is her way of getting peace and quiet.
