Sorry Chiver, I didn't see your post til now and I'm not a fan of Old Navy. I did hit Bob's and got 3 pairs of undies and a shirt for $0. Went to Barnes and Noble and resisted then went and spent too much money at Best Buy. No idea whether the laptop will be covered under warranty. I only have DD's laptop now because I'm forcing her to make the salads for dinner.

But seriously: I went to church with my sister, had lunch out (my treat this week; I paid with a discounted gift card), and hit three thrift shops to find me a mid-weight, water-resistant jacket. I wound up paying $14.99 but it's worth it: There's a zip-out fleece lining, inner and outer pockets that Velcro or zip shut (important consideration as I am traveling to the U.K. next month and want a safe place for passport and cash), and a hood with a brim on it. Aaaaaand....I returned my current jacket to J.C. Penney. After less than a month of wear it had a huge split around the pocket. So I'll get a refund on my credit card. Now I'm going to read the Sunday paper (remember those?), clip coupons and look for worthwhile specials at Walgreens. I hope to write something for my personal website, do a short phone interview for my MSN Money column, read for a while, take a walk and fix dinner, i.e., reheat some of the chili I made the other day from dried pinto beans, and on-sale ground beef and canned tomatoes. I'll listen to some quiet classical music, write a letter to my aunt and try to get to bed on time for a change. Frugal, restorative kind of day. And NO FOOTBALL! I don't have a television and I don't care for sports. Hope everyone else has a great time watching, though.

No football here either. I did watch two basketball games.

Donna...you really need to get away from the boards a little more.

Worship, Bible study, lunch, cruise message boards for wisdom, read a slow moving book during commercials on Australian Open Tennis, nap, dinner, more message boards. Answer the question again what I am doing in the morning. DH takes fuel efficient car. Squash social anxiety. Another message board that I should have checked in mid-December as clarification questions to me went unanswered.
Bask in the radiance of being number one in the racquet bracket (Australian Open Tennis) for 2 days in a row and several days as second.
Racquet bracket is sponsored through a tennis organization I belong to and we pick winners. It's something fun to think about.

Had a girls day with two of my best friends. We ordered a pizza and spent the entire day chatting and drinking wine. Couldn't think of a better way to spend my Sunday
