From the when terrorists are stupid files. From a Yahoo article: Tuesday's violence began in the afternoon when a stash of explosives apparently detonated by accident in Moradi's house, blowing off part of the roof. Police said two foreigners quickly left the residence, followed by a wounded Moradi.
"He tried to wave down a taxi, but he was covered in blood, and the driver refused to take him," Pansiri said. He then threw an explosive at the taxi and began running.
Police who had been called to the area then tried to apprehend Moradi, who hurled a grenade to defend himself. "But somehow it bounced back" and blew off his legs, Pansiri said.
Photos of the wounded Iranian showed him covered in dark soot on a sidewalk strewn with broken glass. He lay in front of a Thai primary and secondary school. No students were reported wounded.
Skimmed the story, perhaps someone with a faster computer could grab the URL from Yahoo? I was unaware until this article that there were Iranians targeting Israelis.

I'm sure in the Thai courts this guy won't have a leg to stand on to prove his innocence.

So he threw the grenade and it bounced back at him...really, learn how to throw like a man if you're going to be tossing grenades around ya dink. But you gotta wonder what the look on his face was when he saw it take that bad bounce.

I'm adding "softball unit in gym class" to my list of benefits of the public education system. Homeschoolers take note!

Its a bit of a concern.....There have been two recent attacks from Iranians and Hezbollah in India and Georgia. Iran has denied responsibility for the Moradi incident...even though he was an Iranian National and its not entirely clear if he was after Israelis or Jews... but it follows the assassination of Iranian scientists.
Its looking like tit-for-tat terrorism...and I'm concerned that the Israeli/Iranian conflict may have started...and be hard to contain.

Funny but I was thinking about the times you see people in the middle east burning a US flag. I must admit that I really enjoy watching as pieces of the flag fall off and burn the heck out of the flag burners. They get what they deserve.

For me it was when they were dragging the bodies of our dead through the street (that was a long time ago). While I recognized the importance of that area of the world to the U.S. economy I still think of an old expression......Kill'EM all & let God sort them out. (That was an expression that was around in my youth).

Its this attitude which has caused much of the problems in the first place. If you go onto another countries sovereign territory and start blowing their children up...of course they are going to hate you. Its never been a good strategy...and wherever this has happened it has caused an almighty mess afterwards. It just provides a foothold for fundamentalists.
Iran badly needs an enemy right now...to deflect from the stirrings of revolution which has happened in the rest of the Arab world. They are trying to play the Nationalism card against a common enemy.
The best chance for peace is access to good media representation which can present a more balanced view....that way the people can realise they need to be looking inward for the reasons for their hardship. Thankfully they have it.
Most of the ME is not extremist and are concerned about the behaviour of Iran....these people need to be befriended.
...but yes, Irans nuclear program is a concern for everyone in the region...and for those of us who live a bit further away.

I am sure Israel is going to take them out before November anyway. While the rest of the world silently gives thanks but loudly proclaims "How awful!"

Nope....because that would directly involve us....as guarantors of the peace.
I don't want a single British soldier to die because of this hornets nest.
