Since we've discussed the KitchenAid stand mixer, and yes I have one, what are thoughts on the single cup Kuerig?
I only drink 1 or 2 cups in the morning, I love different flavors of coffee, and I think it's a great idea....but I'm having trouble grasping the idea of spending $170 for the B70 and then spending about $.40 per cup for the coffee.

Have you thought about using a small french press?

I had a french press once, and it took way too long to get that first cup of coffee in the morning. The Keurig will do it in 60 seconds.

How about a single cup drip coffee maker? That should brew fairly quickly.

I, too, went back and forth on whether I thought I'd get my money's worth on the Keurig. I finally broke down and bought one (the mini) online Christmas night, after being at BFF's Christmas day and using theirs. I woudl DEFINITELY watch for a sale and combine with a coupon. I got mine from Kohls, had a discount (I think 20%), $10 Kohls cash and free shipping. I still use my regular coffee maker, as I usually have a couple cups in the morning, but then will make one from the Keurig. The Kcups are pricey, but Bed Bath and Beyond has a huge selection and you can use the 20% off coupons and $5/15 that come out regularly. I also use swagbucks to earn Amazon gift cards and will be ordering mine from there, so, free for me. You can also buy a little filter cup so that you can use cans of coffee, saving money as well. I am very happy with mine...

I have one and love it. I was given to me as a gift, but if it wasn't, I would totally spend the money on it - look for deals like when Kohl's runs 30% off or whatever.
I really like the K-cups, although they also have a re-usable K-cup that's basically the filter so you can add your own coffee to it. It brings the cost per cup way down and now you can make any kind of coffee you want.

I'm failing in my resolve to not do this. Now the the question is which one is the best option.

I didn't realize this... I might be tempted with this part, but it will be a long time before I'm ready to spend money again. I have a simple two-mug coffee maker that works great for me. If I have company I can set it to pour into two different mugs (I use my own, I don't like the ones that came with it) and when it's just me (most of the time...) I set it to one cup.

We have this coffee machine at work and we buy the big cases of coffee at Costco. You may want to check the prices in your area.

I have a Kuerig (my mom bought it). I like it, though I find the cups kind of expensive. I drink 1-3 cups per morning. I haven't seen coupons for the cups, but will have to watch the Kohls / BedBathBeyond / Target /Shopko ads a bit more carefully.
I have TWO of the re-usable cups and I can't get either of them to work right! Water & coffee leak all over the place. :-( Has anyone else used the re-usable cup?

We have one, it's used for tea mostly. When using the reusable cup, make sure that you remove the black one before inserting the grey one, and that the cap is secure. I use it all the time for hot chocolate, I buy the big canister of powder and scoop it into the mesh cup. I don't drink coffee.

We figured it out at work and one cup of coffee was the same cost as a pot in a regular coffee maker. Even if you only drank 2 cups out of the pot you have saved money. Not a fan of the Kuerig.

My sister is looking at buying one of these. They are way too expensive for my blood for both the machine and the coffee, but to each their own.

From what we can figure, the water is coming out the top hole of the cap & then just leaks down all over. Frustrating.

The cheaper cups that I get at Walmart are not as good as others ($7.88 for 18 vs $9.88 for 18) - flavor wise or working - sometimes the cup doesn't pierce. I found that Copps (grocery store) has lower price & better quality. I find the medium strength are best for my taste - I'm not a dark coffee drinker.

Amazon has a lot of them on sale today. I saw TWO 18 packs for 11.00-18.00. Like I said earlier, I use swagbucks, turn them in for Amazon giftcards, so, won't pay anything for them. Can't beat free! I like dark/strong coffee and I've found several that I really like. I think it's just a matter of trying the different varieties. There are over 200 varieties, so, keep trying them until you find what suits you. I am keeping a notebook of the one's I have really liked (Donut Shop, Newman's Own Extra Bold) and one's that I haven't liked, so, I know not to buy them again.

I looked when I was at Sams Club at their Kcups. They were priced at $33.88 for 80. I didn't think $.42 was too high....especially when I consider what I pay for a bag of Starbucks.

My swim coach has one, and while she liked the machine, she was very unhappy with the weakness of the coffees she tried. I think constanz has the right idea: you probably have to keep trying and keep track of what you like. There is a website that reviews single-cup coffees: www.singleservecoffee.com/archives/cat_keurig_k-cups.php

We own a keurig. I use it for coffee and tea, and the kids use for hot chocolate, especially in this cold NE weather. My husband is not a big fan. He finds the coffee too weak. We also own a Cuisinart coffeemaker and Burr grinder for my husband's strong cup of coffee.

I like strong coffee, and my favorite is Green Mountain Coffee Dark Magic. Their Double Black Diamond is pretty good too, tastes almost like Starbucks.
And I'm on my second reusable K-cup. I occasionally get a "misfire" that drips water and coffee, but it's rare. Are you overfilling it? Maybe you just got a bad cup? I'm on my second because I dropped the first one and the plastic chipped.

I'm on my second because I dropped the first one and the plastic chipped. I don't think I'm overfilling it. We even used an actually tea(or table) spoon to fill it the last time & put in less than the max allowed per instructions. I have 2 cups & the same things happen with both of them (bought months apart from different stores). Do you use any special coffee? I'm just using the regular folgers that I used in regular coffee pot.

We have the B70 model. Just a warning about the model, our pump broke after about 10 months and we returned it and got another one. So far so good on the second machine, but if you check out reviews, you'll see this is a common problem. A relative has the B60 model and has had it for over two years with no problems, although it is noisier than our model.
As far as the coffee being weak, I think it really depends on the type of coffee you buy. I've had weak and some coffee that was way too strong. I think it just depends on finding the coffee you like. I don't like the hot chocolate though that does seem weak, although that could be because I'm used to making hot chocolate with milk.
I love it for the overall convenience. I'm not a big coffee drinker and my husband loves a cup in the morning so this is ideal for us. It is expensive but we are paying for that convenience and I think it is worth it.

I find the coffee is really weak. And expensive. Have you tried the Green Mountain kind? I find that you can stand the spoon up in it, and I end up diluting with half water in my travel mug.
