I haven't posted here in a while, but I just need some understanding from some women. My boobs hurt. My nipples are turgid and sore. I've gained 10 lbs in the last week and I think all the water weight went to my boobs! I've gained a cup size and can't wear any of my bras...it hurts too much. My period starts tomorrow, so I know I'll deflate in ~24 hours. But as sore as I am, I just know monster cramps are on the horizon. It's times like this I hate being a woman.

I don't know if this works for you- but before I went on Depo- I found that cutting back on my caffeine and salt sometimes helped (of course that was before I totally cut out caffeine- so then I went into Coca-Cola withdrawl . Other than that- I send HUGS, Midol, and good chocolate.

I am peri-menopausal and I have had night sweats and been on my period at the same time!! In addition, I've been having mammograms for 15 years and only two of them have been "normal". I almost always have to go in for an ultrasound which is often followed by needle biopsies and cyst aspirations. "The girls" are never happy.

DM I don't think anyone's girls would be happy with all that. Do you have breast cancer in the family?

I know i should avoid salt, but i'm craving it like CRAZY! i'm sitting here eating sunflower seeds and downing as much water as i can to combat it.
i feel ya... now i think it's time for some chocolate!

lone, I'm normally a D (I wouldn't mind being a C). Right now I'm spilling over. I didn't have a lot of salt or caffeine the week before I started. My hands and feet weren't swollen, just my boobs. My period started today and I've already noticed a increased need to pee and my boobs don't hurt so bad.
The first time I read your message, I could just picture a cartoon busty babe flirting, while her boobs were shrinking and then dissappearing with a little pop.

No, this is hormonal. Every once in a blue moon I do this, maybe once every couple of years. My gyno told me some women just get bloated boobs due to hormonal imbalances. I will lose most of this weight in the next couple of days and deflate to normal. Basically my progesterone levels got high enough that my body started acting preggers. I'm celibate, so pregnancy is not an issue.

I get to have another ultrasound in June and then the boob surgeon will decide whether to do biopsies or not. Being only 27 got me out of the mammogram. I don't want anything bad to happen to me but I'm sick of the collection of specialty physicians I have. I just want to be normal and not need all thse doctors especially considering none of them have made me better.

Just had the uterus out, the ovaries are fine so no premature meno or anything. Still recovering but it is strange to not have the monthly visitor.

On the salt craving, DH's naturapathic doctor believes that it's not the salt you're craving, it's other trace minerals. If you use a decent sea salt instead of Morton's, you might reduce the salt craving. Then again, you might not. We haven't done this enough to know if it actually works or not.

Deflation has occurred! I hope to be able to wear a bra tomorrow. I'm still a little tender, but I've lost almost 6 lbs. Guess I know where it went.

good lord...if my boobs randomly grew, my DH would be so delighted but then again, after i "dried" up from breast milk, my boobs hurt so bad and felt like rocks and he once barely bumped them, barely touched and i kicked him because it hurt so bad lol

I am close to 50 inches without any inflammation, bloating etc on a 5'3.5" in frame. I can be wearing a t-shirt and they still talk to my boobs.

I had two friends who went for reduction. The first went down six or more inches and was so happy her back didn't hurt anymore! Her husband was slightly depressed and sighed about it a little. "I married a woman with (fill in blank) and now it's gone." He actually accepted it quite nicely; I just found his comment funny. My second friend was in her seventies when she decided to finally reduce for much the same reason. Her doctor (confused fellow) asked her what size she wanted. "Bee-stings!" She loved her new ones, too.

I had a reduction first then my mother, I wish I could say it was the best thing I did. It was for a while but any weight or another pregnancy puts that weight back on those boobs if that is the way your body is inclined. Now I want them done again and freaking give me little bee stings. I hate them.
Why do I have some kind of fire/flame???

Oooh. I'm 10 inches smaller on a 5'5" frame. Your bosom is definitely more impressive! When you say 50" or 40", is that the measuring tape running across your chest including the bosom? Or is it under the bosom? Yes, many men are pigs...but it's hard not to advert our eyes if you're flaunting it (I mean, clothes can only do so much). Granted, some men use a little more tact while others will just stare. But don't think we're oblivious to it. In a way...couldn't it be considered a compliment? I mean, we're staring at you instead of someone else. which means you're attractive to the guy Anyways, I make an effort to stare into the eyes/face of the lady I'm out with. my 2 cents -Showtime

I had a reduction done 6 years and it was the best decision for ME. I did take my DH's opinions into play and he was okay with whatever decision I made. He tell me after it was already done that he was happy that I had it done as he likes the end results better as I'm more comfortable with myself as they are now than 6 years ago. Now I was pregnant and now have a beautiful 5 month daughter and my boobs did increase a cup size since then. I'm hoping that they go down that cup size soon as they do seem smaller than right after I had my DD. FWIW, I went from a 36DDD to a 36C and I'm 5"1.5' tall and approx. 135 lbs. It was alot for my petite frame.

I'm in perimenopause and this is a monthly event for me. Actually, every 3 weeks or so. "They" used to say that your period got easier as you got older. Nope, not for me. I'm not in any rush to move on to menopause, but, gee, if this keeps up I am going to have to think about some extreme measures...
