Hello tax experts!
What are the capital gains and dividend tax rates for 2011? for 2012? There is supposed to be a new rate structure for 2012? Or 2013? Is this correct?

for federal income tax purposes
"qualified" dividends are taxed at a maximum rate of 15%
"long term" capital gains are taxed at a maximum rate of 15%
These rates are goof through 12-31-12, unless Congress changes it.
On 1-1-13, the "Bush/Obama" era tax rates revert to the "pre" Bush rates of 20% for long term capital gains and no special tax treatment for dividends.
