I noticed a window in the mall that said "Target Clothing" so I guess we kinda have a Target now.
How good is the clothing?

Yeah, cheap, not very good quality. You might get one season out of it. I don't buy much there. Sometimes PJ's or casual clothes, an occasional pair of jeans...

I'd say marginally better than Walmart, except in the workout clothes dept. Target carries the Champion C9 line, which I live in for workouts. I picked up a pair of moisture-wicking capris last night for $10. it's worth your time to check it out.

I actually prefer WalMart inexpensive clothing to Target inexpensive clothing, lol ~ the prices and colors and choices are better at WalMart ... at least for Women's Plus Sized clothing (which is my department of choice.) I think it's fine for things you only plan to wear a season, but I wouldn't make any investment in career clothing there. However, Target consistently has the best prices on kitty litter, so we shop there often!

Although the quality of the clothes isn't much better than Walmart, they are (IMHO) a bit more stylish.

Was it Target Clothing or was it maybe Target Apparel? Target has bought Zellers from the Hudson Bay group of companies. But they might not be able to use the name Target without paying out cash as another company in Canada has already trademarked Target Apparel. Apparently this co has starting opening Target Apparel stores. I don't know if the link will work. I haven't tried one here yet (have I even posted here yet-I can't remember). www.metronews.ca/toronto/business/article/743921--target-might-need-different-name-in-canada

I totally agree with all of Molly's post. Their plus size offerings are extremely limited (at least around here) and the few racks they have only have plain jane basics on them anymore. It's quite depressing and odd considering how many plus sized individuals there now are in this country on the news.

I have bought a few items of clothing over the years, that lasted quite awhile, and shoes that lasted a long time. I do find that our Targets down here seem to be targeted to the younger teen & 20-something crowd. My oldest DD shops almost exclusively there, loves the trendier clothes and fits her small student budget. She did say the line of clothes sold in the Boston area is not nearly as fun or trendy as the stuff sold in the Tampa, FL market.

IME, I seem to do better buying good clothes at an extreme discount than buying clothes at either Target or Walmart.

I rarely have good luck finding anything (clothing-wise) at Target. I can never find my size, especially in pants, and, at least at the one here, the styles all seem to be geared towards a younger shopping generation. And I'm only 28!
I will buy socks and undies there. Sometimes PJ's. And every so often I will find t-shirts or camis that I can wear under other tops that are a bit too see-through for my taste.
I do better buying at more expensive places and using sales/clearance/coupons.

They do have some nice things, and style-wise they are pretty cute. I usually only shop what's on clearance, but they have nice sweaters and I also buy layer tee shirts and tanks, which i wear a lot of )

The style of the clothing at Target is much better than Wal-Mart, but the quality is just as bad. Everything I've ever bought there falls apart by the end of the season. Save your money and buy something good quality from a more expensive store. I've got clothes from more expensive stores that have lasted me 4 years now. Well worth the investment.

I think I will get the good quality on deep discount. Or as deep as I can. Lately I have been loving the sales at Chloe!
