i posted this update in the parenting thread & wanted to let you all know as well.
hi all...i just wanted to give a quick update. thursday, about 30 minutes after dropping DS off it happened again. they knew to check him though & were able to get a pull-up on him quickly. i sat down with the director and asst. director yesterday at lunch. they believe that because they go to the potty 2 at a time that he sees the older boys wearing underwear and he is ready to truly potty train with regular underwear and that's why he is taking his pullup off when they go on potty breaks. so we discussed how to best handle him and i am going with their suggestion for the time being. i'm sending two pairs of underwear in his backpack and he will wear underwear until naptime. during naps he'll wear a pull-up and after naps he'll be put back into underwear until towards the end of the day when i pick him up. today was the first try at this. he did well and did not have any accidents. i'll try to continue this at home over the weekend and see what happens. thanks again everyone for their input.

Just got back from Dollar General. I only had 5 Bengay q's left, and wanted to save some for another time since they really help get to that $25 threshold. So, I used 3 today and saved 2. It wasn't the best hound ever, but, ok. 3 Bengay, 4.75, used $5/1 for .25 overage on each. 3 whiskas cat food, used B2G1 free, .60 each Milk, 2.75 half gallon, ouch but I was out! 3 shirts, $1 ea. Summer clearance clothes all $1! 1 benefiber, $6, used $2 q My total OOP was 5.xx, not terrible since I got the milk and cat food and benefiber I needed plus 3 pieces of clothes!

Good morning! I got the ads/coupons for our Sunday paper and found something kind of interesting. I didn't read all about it,but there are some more printable coupons that looks like, once you download/print them, they'll go to support the troops. I've included the link, but in case it doesn't work, they are at www.believeinheroes.org. coupons2.smartsource.com/smartsource/index.jsp?Link=ZCBI6HNPQ25OKI haven't had to do any "major" shopping in the last 3 weeks:) I've had to get milk, but that's about it. Looks like this weekend will be my once-a-month grocery trip, as a local grocery store has a 3/$15 meat sale... I did that about 2 months ago and we are down to our last package of chicken. Have a great day/weekend!! We have a soccer game in a bit and then will be tearing out the carpet in our family room so we can have Pergo flooring installed on Tuesday! I was able to cash in some points at work for Lowes gift cards. By the time we're done, I'll pay less that $100 OOP for a new floor. I'm pretty excited!

I looked at the ad preview and can see a picture of the Satin Care, but nothing else. And which Hershey are you talking about? We COULD use some more shave gel so this MIGHT get me in the door. ETA: Never mind, I see the details on another page. I was hoping that it didn't involve using UPs.

Just saw the Kohls BF ad. Looks pretty decent, plus they are doing $15 Kohls cash for every $50 spent.

I did two transactions at Dollar General and paid $5.27 OOP and saved $52.05 with coupons. I got 8 Bengay, 2 Glad garbage bags 27 count, 1 Mardi Gras napkins, 6 pk. bottled pop, and 1 gravy mix packet. I used up my UPs at Rite Aid but didn't get back the $4.00 UPs for the Revlon. I bought 5 emory boards and 1 nail polish and I know my total was over $10.00, even with my discount. Does anyone know if you can mix and match with this deal? Or do you have to spend $10.00 only on beauty tools and $10.00 on nail polish? I will be taking the nail polish back.

Giant PA has Pepsi @ $1 2 liter must buy 4. I have tearpads B2G1 free. So i am trying to work out my best deal. It has to be X3 + X4 to work. I thought maybe 12X4 . So 48 bottles and pay $36. + tax. = .81 each. I have 40 tearpads but don't have all that much space. Also i prefer Coke...lol But DH drinks this at work. How many would you buy @ this price?

Geez, going out to eat is getting expensive!! DH took me out to breakfast. He had a $20 gift card that he had won in a golf tournament. I had an omelet. It came with potatoes and an English muffin. DH had the special for $5.95 which came with potatoes and toast. We were coffeed out by the time we got there so we just had water. Our bill was $16.41 without tip!! If we had had coffee, it would have easily reached $20.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I went into CVS. While I was in there I checked out the price of the Wisk. OMG, a 32-load bottle is regularly priced at $8.99.
The last time I bought it at CVS, I had a rain check where it was buy 5 for $25 and get a $10 EB. I used (5) $2/1 Wisk Qs and a $5/$25 to get it for free.
It seems to me that just yesterday a 32-load bottle of almost any well-known national brand (okay, except Tide) was about $6.99.
Has anyone tried Xtra. I saw that it was on sale for $1.49 for 28 loads or a little over $.05/load vs $.28/load for the Wisk. Is Wisk really over 5x better than Xtra?

I see people using it in the laundromat but i haven't used it. I won't take the chance. I have to pay for the machine and i want something that works (tide) the first time. If i had my own machine i might give it a go though. And yes, prices of laundry soap is getting crazy,i saw them for $9 recently, there should be a law against it!

Hmmm...I don't track 2 liters in my Price Book - I just track 12 pack cans. Do you normally track the price of 2 liter Pepsi? The best comparison I can give is from my tracking. Regular price of Coke 12 packs is $6.99. Of course I never buy it at that price. The low ranges from $2.50 to $3.50 per 12 pack - so 50% or less of the regular price. Perhaps someone else will have a price comparison on 2 liter Pepsi's. I will say, though, it seems that soda goes to a low price between Thanksgiving and the New Year, so I probably wouldn't stock up more than would last a month, because I think you should see another good deal in about a month.

hopetoberich, If it helps, around here (St. Louis area) a 2 liter runs between $1.25 and $1.49 regular price. When it goes on sale, it's usually $1. I'd buy some at that price, but that' s just me.

This is sorta about groceries...
I've shared that we bought a house...and since it needs renovations, we're somewhat half living in boxes. My stockpile is in cardboard boxes in what is actually the Master bedroom.
Well, my husband decided to move an easy chair into that room to get it out of the living room. So it's now facing my stockpile and I joked that I can just sit there and admire my stockpile.
His response was "You love your stockpile more than you love me." (For those who have watched EC, this was actually something a woman said on EC. That she loved her stockpile as much as she loves her family.) So my husband likes to say that now and we both laugh.

va500: Thanks for the link above. It will be great for the BF deal. I have a question: it says CVS Pharmacy in the title area and along the side, but the coupon code number begins with a "5". Can this one you linked be used with a regular man q at CVS? Or is this considered a man q since it starts with a "5". Anyone know the answer?

Now that the snow birds are back, I will be shopping less, thank goodness for the stockpile. I had to run in to get milk and the stores are full. I have a love hate relationship when it comes to the snow birds. They are why I have a job. I just wish they could buy park models and then leave town. LOL.

Re: Colgate coupon I believe it to be the same coupon as the one in the Walgreen Diabetes book and that one is a manufacturer's coupon.

Hopetoberich: Meijer had Pepsi 2 liters for $.88 today. I think you might get a better deal later, but $1.00 is an ok price.
CVS: I went in to do a couple of quick transactions tonight. I wanted to use up my $10.00 ECB's before they expired. I bought 2 Schick Hydra razors and 1 Skintimate shave cream, 1 Jif and 1 Smuckers Jam. I got a $5.00/20.00 facial care CRT, so I applied it to my total. I used my last 2 $5.00 IPQ's and I also used a $.75 IPQ for Skintimate. I got $10.00 back and thought I'd get back $3.00 for the food, but I see it's only good on the Smuckers.
Rite Aid: I took back the Revlon and got back $4.25. I bought 3 more emory boards which were $1.00 a piece at this particular Rite Aid. I used 3 $1.00 MQ's and paid $.25 tax and got $4.00 UPS.
JCPenny: I used 3 $10.00/25.00 coupons and got a lot of tops.
Thanks to whoever put up the Colgate IPQ. I can't scroll up to see who it was, but I appreciate it.

I just checked my CVS receipt and figured out why my ECB's didn't print. I was charged this week's price of $1.67 on the Jif and not next week's, which will be $2.50.
VA500: Thanks for the Colgate link!

HOUND ALERT....
I'm looking for extra Q's from this week RP Crisco Oil 1/2, our local grocery store has them on sale, they're having a mega sale like Kroger is, but they're calling it take $5 back LOL, anyway they're $1.99 for a 48oz bottle, I think that's a pretty good price for around here anyways. TIA
EDIT.... who was looking for the Lysol No-Touch System? I have 4 of the 3/1 Q's if they're still needed, just got them today, just PM and I'll be glad to send them out.
