I had thyroid issues in my late teens/early 20s and I can't tell you how many rude comments I got about how I must be bulimic, being bony is gross, why didn't I eat a sandwich, and so on. Or how "lucky" I was to be thin. Yeah, going to the hospital once a week and having radioactive isotopes beamed into my neck was a fun diet. I consume a lot of food for my size and it still bothers me for people to comment on what/how much I'm eating - even though I'm just on the low end of average weight now. Anyway, back on topic... I'm not a mac and cheese person so the cheesy thing sounds . But I do agree with Beachbum, if this is "vacation" or splurge dining and you're not eating at Denny's 3x/week, you're probably OK.

Yabbut...you saw the photos, right? Their goal in life is to wear a tent?

90% of the time, your body is a temple, and you feed it and treat it like it's sacred. ----------------------- My body is a temple? Uh-oh! I've been treating it like an amusement park.

I'm with you midwesternjd: I always ate 6 times a day and have thyroid problems too and my grandmothers genes. Tall and thin, no matter what I eat. The most I ever packed on was 140 at 5'10'', now back to 125. Very small boned. I prefer the regular quarter pounders, just eat three of those at a sitting and that will hold me for at least 2 hours...lol....funny how my metabolism just burns up calories. Perfect meal for me: steak, potato, and a slice of strawberry cheesecake....go figure! k to you!

Well, in SJ's case, it was in his head. No one else could find it, or wanted to see where it really was.

Has anyone seen that new show "Big Sexy"? Is anyone else bothered by it? I watched a bit of it but it wasnt that interesting to keep my attention. But I will say that I am sick to death of seeing size twos in magazines and on tv telling the rest of us that they are the standard we should all aspire. The average size 12-16 is usually much more healthy than either the too skinny or the too fat. and people need to realize that the woman who has curves can be just as sexy as the toothpick. That being said. Health should be the emphasis on any program. Be that at 102 pounds or 200 pounds. And yes I do love me a big, thick, cheesy, juicy cheeseburger from time to time. Five Guys is my favorite and I sure would love to have one about now.

Num, Num, Num.....Five Guys rules. And I write about food, and I've had some good burgers. But I love theirs. My deal with myself: if I have Five Guys, that's my meal for the day.

Well, in SJ's case, it was in his head. No one else could find it, or wanted to see where it really was. I thought it was in his butt. Mid - Me too! I was misdiagnosed for Graves disease my entire life and I had every symptom. Finally found a smart Dr. in my early 30's who had me at the hospital immediately and they gave me radioactive iodine. I still can't gain weight easily though. My stupid mother though I was anorexic because of the amount of food I ate. She was with me the entire time (we used to work together) and ate lunch with me, went to the restroom with me, etc. When did I even have the chance to purge - or whatever people do - if I was?! ETA: And cheese is always good no matter what it's on.
