ETA: Is it all simply about which party wins? Pretty much. People would vote for Ahmadinejad if he was a US citizen and had a D or R behind his name.
nope... a religious radical nutcase is still a religious radical nutcase no matter which religion they are coming from.

I think most the money for these elections went to the repubs - all this talk about how much it cost should be of concern in light of the citizens united decision. It was a win for the Dems - by any standard - the Repubs that got kicked are not serving out their terms. This was a race that was unscheduled and to bring about a recall election is not small news - the Repubs lost that one too.

This was a race that was unscheduled and to bring about a recall election is not small news - the Repubs lost that one too. They had the opportunity to get six, needed three, and got two. That's a couple battles won, but the greater war was lost. If they lose their two battles next Tues, then they ultimately gained nothing and wasted the state's tax dollars...again. They lost the governorship they wanted... They lost the state supreme court race they wanted... Now they lost the greater war over the recalls they wanted... That's 0-3...not a winning man's hand And not only that: -Many school districts are in much better financial shape this year because of Walker and the Reps' legislation -The corrupt union insurance scams were brought to light because of it and showed that the taxpayers have been raped of who knows how many millions of dollars by the union insurance companies over the years -The state's economy is improving and jobs have been gained over the past few months -The state is finally tackling its reckless spending habits that occurred over the decades of Democrat rule -The Teacher's unions and many of its members have continually shown their true desires are NOT about children's education and that they could care less about the taxpayers of the state So, I'd say the Dems are in pretty bad sorts after all this mess...

Since it was mostly third-party groups it's hard to tell...but in watching the evening news I counted 2 attack ads against reps for every 1 against dems. So from what I witnessed, unless the Dems focused more of their money during late-night news, I'd say the Dems out-spent the Reps 2 to 1.

I'd say the Dems out-spent the Reps 2 to 1. Nothing new in that statement.

It was a win for the Dems - by any standard - the Repubs that got kicked are not serving out their terms. This was a race that was unscheduled and to bring about a recall election is not small news - the Repubs lost that one too. ABC News reports that non-Wisconsin organizations have poured $25 million into the races so far. That figure came from the nonpartisan Wisconsin Democracy Campaign, which estimates that candidates themselves have added only another $5 million. Read more: dailycaller.com/2011/08/09/outsiders-spend-millions-on-wisconsin-recall-elections/#ixzz1UlA9In5WDemocrat Sandy Pasch was the biggest spender among the seven, pouring out $343,400. Next was Republican incumbent Dan Kapanke at $231,912. Kapanke's opponent, Jennifer Shilling, spent $171,830. Democrat Rep. Fred Clark spent $163,400. Republican incumbent Sheila Harsdorf spent $151,000. Democrat Nancy Nusbaum spent $91,660. And Republican incumbent Randy Hopper spent $3,463. baraboodells.channel3000.com/news/politics/third-party-groups-pouring-money-recall-races/56133Seems the money is going not just to Republican's but to Democrats also.
