Buckle up, libs-- here comes the landslide: My question is, why are Scott Rasmussen’s polls showing Obama performing 6% better than Gallup. I thought Rasmussen was supposed to be the conservative pollster in the mix here. Think about it: How can 46% of likely voters possibly think this clown in the White House is doing a decent job? Makes no sense at all. We expect NBC and ABC to have wrong polling numbers. They’re just adjuncts of the Obama reelection campaign.

Awe, you forgot CBS. They've tried so hard to portray everything Obama's done in a god like way. Now you've gone and hurt their upper managements feelings. Shame on you!

Didn't Bush reach a low in the 20's? I think Obama will be reelected. The Republicans haven't put up any candidates that can win.

All I will say is that the election is still far off and the Democrats have the MSM to build up Obama and defame the GOP.
When you consider that many polls hold the GOP responsible for the debt ceiling crisis even though the Dems hold the Senate and the White House as well as they have killed two GOP bills without reviewing them for a possible compromise, well you know that propaganda machine is working well.
I am not hopeful; this reminds me too much of Bush I vs Clinton where the MSM defamed Bush for the worst economy since the Great Depression (a demonstable fallacy that any economist could show) and raising your taxes even though the Democrats raised them and Bush fought them before finally "compromising" only to be stabbed in the back by the Dems with the MSM twisting the knife.

Unless the employment rate and economy improve between now and election day Obama will lose. It is all about jobs and better economic data. All the other stuff like default or no is just stuff for the talking heads to blather about. They need something to fill the hour with but is meaningless.

I love how when someone likes Obama it is because of propaganda & when someone hates Obama it is because they see the "truth". Let's face it, there is propaganda & BS on both sides. If you can't see it, then you head is stuck up your ass & you are clearly too biased to have an honest conversation on the subject.

Ok but are you satisfied with Obama's leadership during the debt crisis??? Was he able to provide you with any confidence he lead us out of a possibile default?? Does he have any solid plans for the high unemployment we face today??

2012 is closing in fast. With the current economic issues there is no way the president can turn the economy around and create enough jobs to get re-elected. The real question I have will whomever wins will they blame it all on Obama. If so that will solve nothing. Past time to change the landscape so companies will start hiring and manufacturing again.

CHICAGO (MarketWatch) -- A record number of Americans are now receiving food stamps, according to data released by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In May, there were 45.75 million recipients of the aid, up 2.5% from the previous month and 12% from May of 2010. The state of Alabama showed the biggest increase, almost 120%, with New Jersey, Nevada and North Carolina all seeing jumps in the 20% range. Every state posted a percentage increase, save North Dakota, which was essentially flat.
WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- The number of announced job cuts surged 60% to a 16-month high of 66,414 in July, according to the consultancy Challenger, Gray & Christmas. Merck & Co., Borders, Cisco Systems, Lockheed Martin and Boston Scientific accounted for 57% of the total, or 38,100 positions. "What may be most worrisome about the July surge is that the heaviest layoffs occurred in industries that, until now, have enjoyed relatively low job-cut levels, including pharmaceuticals, computer and retail," said John A. Challenger, chief executive officer of Challenger, Gray & Christmas.
