Just came upon this article about the Texas Governor, it seems he may be thinking of throwing his hat in the ring. No, after reading the article, he doesn't appeal to this middle to the left person, but realizing I am only one vote and looking for one more in the middle then the Governor, but on a national stage, would he be a national candidate is the question. Any ideas? ----------------------------------------------- news.yahoo.com/perrys-credentials-conservative-come-132143381.html---------------------------------------------- [Click on the link to read the whole article] ---------------------------------------------- .......Perry's credentials: As conservative as they come By CHRIS TOMLINSON - .........AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — " Should Rick Perry conclude that voter discontent has left him an opening to enter the presidential race, the longtime Texas governor would be among the GOP field's most conservative candidates. Primary voters would get a skilled politician with TV anchorman looks, a Southern preacher's oratory and a cowboy's swagger, matched by a disarming candor and sense of humor. The former cotton farmer from the village of Paint Creek in West Texas has never lost an election in nearly three decades as a politician. What they wouldn't get is a candidate whose politics are positioned to unite a Republican electorate that stretches from moderate pro-business fiscal conservatives to evangelical social conservatives, with the tea party falling somewhere along the spectrum."

There is just not enough corporate money to go around for finance yet another far-out candidate that has only a snowballs chance in hell in winning the nomination.

A conservative that doesn't know how to lose...now that is interesting...
I don't believe I've ever seen that.

If it's Perry/Obama, I'll either sit the election out or throw my vote at a third party. After what happened with the anti-TSA bill this past session, I will never vote for Perry, Dewhurst, or Straus for anything. Ever.
