not for nothing, henry, but it's probably because there's a high concentration of Arabs in that area. some services in my area are 1 for English, 2 for Spanish, 3 for Portuguese. I know when you go way north in Maine, French is option #2.
until and unless a national language is declared, we're going to keep seeing things like this as some areas get increasing numbers of immigrants.
if you don't like it, work to fix it.

Chiver, you are correct. We need an English language amendment. I can envision the future when we have 10 language choices. Maybe that will make the accomodating libs wise up. No on had press 1 for Slovak for my ancestors, but we adapted and learned the language.
